I have done exactly 31 forges in the past 3 days. 20-25 of them were with the polymor buff which guarantees an armor piece. From all of those runs i haven't gotten a single black armory chest piece.
Mathematically there is a 0.377% chance not to get one from 25 runs. Now i know how pseudo-rng works in games. But this is just -blam!-ing stupid.
I'm not sure where i'm going with this thread, but it's become so unenjoyable for me to play the game. I can't progress getting my most wanted exotic in the game because of this. Don't you think this is a bit ridiculous?

Edited by Kouz_MC: 11/24/2019 5:41:46 AMRandom doesn’t mean all possible solutions. There is no “static” probability. No one has 1% chance to loot the 1000k voice. These numbers were dropped by kids who didn’t even finish kindergarten. Random usually means that all possible result must follow a bell shape curve. Bungie’s Number Generator is not random. It was developed by valedictorian of gambling rng. It adjusts to each player’s profile. In practice, Bungie’s number generator analyzes a player’s daily/weekly/monthly time played, activity distribution, frequency... and tends to normally distribute missing loots over a projected time period that is a function of that gamer profile to the product life cycle end date, which is a limit, so by definition has the mathematical possibility of being infinite. In other words, ceteris paribus, the more you play an activity/character or the like, the less likely you are to receive the loots you miss from that activity with that character. You are smarter than a code.
