PC Migration Error - Last Hope

I have been working on solving this issue for a while now, and I am exhausted trying to find a true solution from Bungie. I'm writing this post out of desperation and disappointment. I am having issues with my account migration, and I am being told I need to make a new Steam account to complete migration. I have been dealing with this issue for over a month and I have never had a more frustrating customer service experience in my life. I have received the response below from Bungie in another forum post, and have seen this response posted many times in various forms. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunately, if the error message says that your Steam account has already been migrated, it's not possible to migrate to that Steam account again. To migrate, you will have to unlink your Steam account in your Bungie profile settings then link another Steam account that hasn't been migrated to yet.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My question is how do you think this is an appropriate "solution" Bungie? (If the users who respond in the forum even work for Bungie) I pre-ordered Shadowkeep, what am I supposed to do about my pre-purchase? Just swallow the expense and buy it again to play? My gaming budget is very small. Additionally, what about my friends list on Steam? A Steam account isn't just something that can just be simply replaced, I have hundreds of dollars of purchases on there and you want me to make another account? Nothing was migrated to my Steam account, just a blank Destiny profile, why can't you delete it? So am I expected to log in and out to switch between accounts just because you can't be bothered to modify your own servers? I am not alone in this issue, there are a couple hundred of us at least. I'm really tired of chasing a solution so the questions below are the last time I will be posting about this issue so I really hope to get an honest response from Bungie. Help me understand why you won't help me. So my questions to Bungie are as follows. 1. How do you justify making a new Steam account a "solution" to this problem with your game? You are not solving the problem, just passing it off to Steam and the user to fix. 2. Do you plan on refunding me for my purchase? It was outside of Steam's refund period and I didn't refund it earlier because I expected customer support to actually HELP me solve problems, not abandon me. Also even if I make a new Steam account and buy Shadowkeep again I'm still out my pre-order bonuses. 3. Why can't you transfer data to another account or clear the data that is tied to my steam account? Do you not know how your own servers work or are the only people answering questions just forum users and not actual staff? Can you please give an actual answer instead of just copying and pasting a response? If you just respond with another copy and pasted response or you don't help me resolve my problems & answer my questions I will take the following actions. 1. I will take that as a confirmation that you are abandoning all users with this problem to their own devices and are not working to solve the problem going forward. 2. You are affirming I won't be receiving services for my purchased DLC, and I will report my purchase of the DLC as fraud. I will also be contacting the Better Business Bureau and local news organizations to tell them of your neglect of the player base. I will also contact Valve to let them know you are improperly using their Steam client. 3. I will hand deliver a letter of complaint to your headquarters in Bellevue, Washington. I may live in the area but I don't want to do this, but it's not like I can talk to a real person any other way. Please Bungie, I have been a fan of your company for my entire life, and Destiny 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. The lore, gameplay, and environment create a unique and vibrant world. I don't want to abandon this game, and I want to keep purchasing Bungie games in the future. However, I feel horribly neglected, frustrated, and profoundly disappointed. I'm wishing for the best here, but expecting nothing. - Chewy Edit: I'd like to add that I tried to log into my Bungie account through the Steam account that is supposedly already migrated, and there is no associated account. This all just makes no sense.
