Scouts just aren't that fun imo
I don't know if it's the Randy's throwing knife quest or what but every map I've loaded onto that was 6v6 was 6 people hard scoping a lane together with mida multitools and taking turns getting insta killed. I play on console so I'm sure you could just out snipe these people if you were a great sniper or on PC but this is getting ridiculous. How is it fun to sit in the back of the map and hide like that as a team? Maybe in the higher levels of play people can more consistently counter this but in the avrg player base it seems to be unbeatable unless you also have a scout. Maybe I haven't tried all my options or I just suck.

3 RepliesI find scouts a lot more fun than HCs. They take way more skill if you use them at hand cannon range, beating hand cannons with a Mida is very very hard but satisfying when you do. Idea: I know people are just using scouts for Randy’s but you should try a new loadout once in a while anyway ! You don’t have to use spare rations mindbenders all the time !

Agree scouts suck. Crucible is now boring as hell and the games are just sad. I personally think there is nothing better than 4 people standing still aiming down a hallway the entire game but who knows. I personally can not wait until the no fun scout phase has ended. If for some reason someone who actually can do something about it does read this comment please fix it because a big part of your game is super not fun now. :)

Love scouts. Its still a hc meta.l, but hc’s are tired. People are just using scouts for the comp weapon. Will go back to hc soon enough.

Solo plays were almost impossibile with 3-4 people shoting in the same direction with MIDAs or other SRs from the other side of the Map (also crouched, 'cos of course). Expecially on smaller Maps with 12 players on it. We basically went back in D2 Y1. With Roaming Supers now being nerfed, you can't even try to challange them 'cos they can shoot you down very easily now (at least, this happened to me with Spectral Blades and Golden Gun, didn't try with Titan and Warlock). The only way to play in this contest is to adapt to the situation and do the same thing, which is pretty annoying for me, but... I suppose this is the new meta or whatever it is.

The kicker is that the weapon sucks on console. I loved Frostmire's Hex and Black Scorpion. Randy's TK is just not very good

Tbh, haven't really seen too many scout rifles. Idk if I'm tripping, but I swear it feels like the vex scout rifle has messed up hit registration

Edited by Smough: 10/11/2019 10:20:13 PMAt least it’s something new, sometimes. The same meta gets stale after a month, and there was a hand cannon meta for over a year. At least scouts are a more skillful weapon than hand cannons and pulses, so most people suck with them. Easy pickings.
