I think it's odd that Bungie went back on combined arms. Probably due to the original 4v4 design of D2 Crucible, but with Battle Royale games being so damn popular, Bungie could have tried large 12v12 maps with tanks and pikes.
I'm not into BR at all, but when Black Ops 4 has 50v50 Ground War, it's a different kind of fun.

Edited by NPC Casper: 8/22/2019 7:59:38 PMI agree that BR even though they aren't my favorite type of games are still increasingly popular with the younger generation. The larger the battle the more the fun right? C'mon Destiny Dev's you got to realize this too? I'm sure more D1 vets would be even more interested in D2 if they brought "Combined Arms" back into the mix of things.

I know Luke detailed a lot of changes in the Director's Cut, but it doesn't sound like anything groundbreaking. It's a shame because D2 doesn't need a whole lot of options in Crucible, It just needs that one standout activity to rotate with Mayhem and IB to be a special treat every few weeks. Combined Arms could be that thing.
