Got Luna's Howl, it's bu####it that requires skills. Won't use
I'm more a pve player but I do play PvP regularly. I decided to grind for Luna because it's so ridiculously overpowered in my opinion. Every time I said that on forums & Reddit I was always told that it's not true that it actually requires skills to use Luna's Howl.
On top of that I'm definitely not a handcannon fan so it took me a long while to complete the quest (about a month). But I made it and today I collected my reward. I tried it just to see what is it like and I was shocked by how disgustingly easy is to use.
That thing stays completely put, straight and doesn't move. I couldn't perceive any recoil at all and it does a hell of a damage at range that you'd never suspect. Easy 3 tap most of the times, so stupidly easy from close range to a large extent of mid range.
Do you want to counter any pulse or scout? Easy just slide towards your opponent and keep spamming the trigger.
It's complete b#####it that Luna's Howl requires skills. It's a pure and simple weapon design mistake that brings all of us into an unbalanced PvP experience. It's not at all a surprise that this weapon is the top of the meta with over 10.3% of the kills (source destinytracker.com).
On top of that let's not forget about all the people [b]paying[/b] for Luna's Howl! In the UK it costs around £40 but I know for a fact some friends in the US who paid $70!! That's so ridiculous!!! It's pay to win!
I will not use this abomination. It's just unfair

3 RepliesIts a gun that functions like a gun... broken. Also doesnt it make sense that its good considering the effort it goes into getting it? You put time and effort into earning a gun and it reflects your efforts. Also it doesnt take skill to fire any gun, anyone can take a gun to a firing range and shoot a couple shots off. Skill goes into how you use it, the weapon is a [b]tool[/b] not a player. Now for hypothetical arguements im sure ill see in responce to the previous point. "It takes skill to use fusion rifles" dont you just point at what you want to hit and hold the trigger? "Yea but i have to time the charges ect." Thats how [b]You[/b] use the gun, not the gun itself. "Snipers take skill" hold down 1 trigger to aim, press the other trigger to shoot... it takes no more or less skill then any other gun? "Shotguns take skill" Again, just press a trigger, it shoots, the gun itself isnt the one sliding and manuevering around the map to get into range, you are. I could keep going but its all the same vain. Also, yea people are gonna pay for the weapon, sucks, but every MMO has markets for it. Wow has one, Runescape has one, where there is an online multiplayer game with clout to be gained, there will be someone there to offer a shortcut.

1 ReplyOn console the aim assist on it is quite high. On PC it’s more balanced in that regard. It’s still strong and both LH and NF are to strong for the archetype

Those players who say it takes skill and would lie about it not being op shows they rely on a broken weapon to do well. I had the lunas howl 2 weeks after it got released, I always said it was broken but most would just defend it. The more people get the lunas howl, the more are going to realize how broken the weapon is, I could only imagine how much more broken the not forgotten is since it has far more range and the exact same ttk as lunas howl

1 ReplyIf you do have it, I'd recommend at least trying it in PvE stuff. The Magnificent Howl really lets it shred through tough enemies like nothing. It's crazy, like using a 110rpm hand cannon with rampage on a 180. It's stupid.

3 Replies$70 is cheap af. Normally $200+. NF is like $600+ And yes it is easy to use. I think it should only increase crit damage. And 1480s should have a bit more severe bullet damage drop after it leaves its intended range

16 RepliesYou don't have to use it but whoever said it required skill is a dumbass. Guns in general do not require skill at all you just point and pull the trigger. Its not a sword,not a spear, and definitely not a bow so skill can't even go in the same sentence when it comes to guns. Guns definitely don't require skill in games because unlike real life they have aim assist stats and target assist to help bad players aim and Luna/NF is rated 96 out of 100 which is damn near laser accuracy.

4 RepliesBump. Same story here. I actively avoid crutches. Didn’t use One Eyed Mask. Don’t use Spectral Blades. (Used it once and it was -blam!-ing disgusting; got 5 kills in one super, and wasted the last half of my super energy to show pity on the enemy team when I could’ve likely killed them all again.) Not gonna use the Luna’s.

I'm at 1702, this grind has been one of the more satisfying ones I've done in destiny. I've always had a rotation with my weapons and when I get Luna it will get it's turn in the lineup. For I'll get Recluse as well and that will get a turn too!

No broken just too good but yeah I feel you I got it realised how boring it was using it and just moved on to other weapons things like ace lw thorn
