Proximity grenades on all grenade launchers were nerfed this update. I had a militias birthright that I loved, that had proximity grenades and after the update it can’t one shot at all. I still need double kills for mountaintop and my primary and heavy grenade launchers have been nerfed into oblivion. Like, honestly before the update I rarely ever saw people using grenade launchers, and now they’re much worse than they already were. Why nerf grenade launchers, but leave shotguns alone?

It was only changed on single shot launchers becuase it caused an [i]incorrect[/i] amount of damage (allowing a one shot). The proximity now functions [i]correctly[/i], more of a bug fix than a nerf.

They didn’t even make a peep about the state of comp and the one eye mask destroying crucible balance. I mean proximity on grenade launchers? Seriously?

I agree with the op. I don't recall ever seeing the forums in an uproar because the proximity perk was too effective. It reminds me of d1 when the Truth mag was reduced from three to one round. Who ever complained about that? Like seriously?! Whoever is coming up with these random nerfs that nobody ever complained about should be sent back to remedial dev school. This nerf was totally unnecessary and only serves to frustrate those few of us that still use nade launchers.

Launchers didnt need to be nerfed at all. They were not that great to begin with. This shows just how much bungie controls the meta in pvp. Shotguns and hand cannons will rule for the time being and that's the way bungie wants it because the hardcore community wants it that way

Special Ammo Grenade Launchers shouldn't one-shot. That was the point.

Probably due to the fact that used properly Edge Transit rocket out one man army medals with ease. And they gave out way to many so now they have to nerf it because they can't do a recall.

Because special launchers aren't supposed to one-shot, except maybe Mountain Top I think.

Use spike or high velocity bc the hit detection is excellent now. Proxies need to be used like a fighting lion n either finish people off after they're hurt or swap to a hand cannon or something to finish them. Spike is especially good now bc not once have I direct hit someone n not one hit them, before it was 50/50 whether they died or took 100 damage.

Because if BUNGiE were to nerf shotguns, all of their PVP sweats and tryhards will actually flip their shit. Grenade launchers are fair game though. Whatever happens to them, no one actually cares.
