Deflect Arcstrider
Before ANYONE says ANYTHING-
This is not a nerf post. I do not anything in this post nerfed. Just a simple question.
Why can Deflect Arcstrider (DA) not deflect Chaos Reach (CR)?
It deflects stuff like Golden gun, Shield Throws, Tether. It deflects energy stuff/projectiles. I am 99% sure It can deflect Fusion Rifles/Trace Rifles as well (if it doesn't, please let me know).
And if It can deflect stuff like that, why can it not deflect Chaos Reach? I would say it is most comparable to Trace Rifles, just a beam.
I understand it cannot deflect stuff like Thundercrash, striker, or spectral blades for example. But Chaos reach just seems like it should be deflectable imho.
What are your thoughts?
EDIT: Okay, thank you for all of the thoughtful discussion! I see now why it shouldn’t deflect, I just previously viewed it as a projectile but I completely understand now why it shouldn’t deflect.

Same happens with sentinel block. Chaos is mediocre in pvp so its only fair for it to deny blocks to be honest.

1 ReplyBecause chaos reach and cold heart aren’t classified as projectiles they are continuous beams of energy and I honestly think that’s ok that they can’t. After all sentinel can but it can’t block 6 GG shots. I’m honestly ok with that:

I play only hunter and I think chaos reach should be able to kill a deflecting arcstrider since it is not a projectile.

Edited by Ghostfire239: 12/16/2018 5:50:36 AMIt say it deflects projectiles. Technically Chaos Reach isn’t a projectile, it’s a beam/laser. (Also I’m pretty sure you can’t deflect trace rifles, but I’m not certain on that)
