Guardians have always had an emotional attachment to a few vendors back in destiny 1, namely master rahool, the cheapskate cryptarch, and xur, the tentacle faced bastard of the nine. These 2 vendors were both loved, and hated by the destiny community. These guys could give you everything you wanted, like when xur finally sold the ice breaker,(insert icebreaker clip) or when he sold the suros regime, or that famed week that was globally trending on every website, number 1 on reddit, that Xur sold the gjallarhorn. Or these two vendors would bring tears to your eyes because they had again disappointed you like when rahool turned your exotic engram into another lucky raspberry, or xur didn’t sell heavy ammo for over a MONTH. That level of attachment to vendors has completely been lost with destiny 2. Especially with xur, who has become a shell of his former self and has been basically forgotten by the entire playerbase. But the game has changed, and good exotics being sold probably isn’t the answer to xurs problem right now. In the video posted, I hope to give some solutions, and great ideas on how Bungie can improve Xur’s Inventory and Bring him back to relevancy in destiny.

Xur won’t sell Forsaken exotics while Yuna sells them for real money in the Korean version of D2. It would upset the paying customers if other regions could go to Xur and buy with legendary shards what they buy with real money.

Agree 100%, also staying up til 2am to see what he has or walking up early before work on Friday, those days are gone

He is absolutely fine for newer players. It would be nice if he had at least something to offer vets though, beyond the occasional tasty roll (see last weeks Skullfort for example). I assume he'll begin to sell Forsaken Exotics once Black Armory drops though...
Key word - assume
Xur is useless. 4 weeks in a row, I got a year 1 weapon lower level than the one I already have. Literally worthless every week for 4 weeks

He is very relevant to the influx of new holiday players. Fine as is 👍
