Do you want to go back to the cosmodrome/plaguelands in D2?
Do it. We all want it. Please. Just going back there for the Thunder lord quest upset me as I saw the door in the fan room closed, so I couldnt go outside. I was so sad, I just want to go back in D2. I dont care if there is no reason to go or that it is "Quarantined". Pleaseee. Dont you want to go back to where it all started whenever you want?
Please dont go off on me, I just miss it so much!

I just think it's weird that the ghost says "we can come back to them when you're ready." when you leave cause there's some hive there and yet we never really get to go back except for one or two quests.

7 RepliesYes, but I want a few things first. 1: it is a mix of both cosmodromes. 2: efrideet is the area vendor. 3: hive are still there. 4: a mini-campaign that gives us a reason to go back there. 5: the khvostov (I think I’m spelling that right) is an exotic we can get there. 6: mission to reconnect the Rasputin fragment to the full warmind network (because why not). 7: new strikes, not reworked old ones from D1. That’s about it for now, might add more later.

Not at as a total location. We've already gone through that area (and the other associated D1 locations) quite thoroughly. As a brief story element, it's fine though.

i feel it would be incredible to go back to the plage lands, but i feel it wouldn't feel the same. If they were to implement the plaguelands back, it should be implemented in the lore in some way (I.E. vex simulation). and if they were to add back the cosmodrome/plaguelands, they should add back key enemies and other areas like the moon/old mercury back. Like to bring back house of devils alongside other fallen houses, the old school cabal, or even the siva infested fallen. Also if they were to do something like this, they should do so like solstice of heros and bring the area/enemies back in a high level patrol like the dreaming city to make the area interesting instead of just adding back old paid content. But that's my opinion and i just hope bungie did more with vex simulation like to be able to overview old raid fund in a ther person view, or strait be able to enter the old 'vault' (vault of glass). but that's my opinion.

I do want to go to the cosmadrome but it has to have a different feel then d1 it's a plague land right? Make it feel that way with a dangerous overworld I feel the the only people connected to the cosmadrome still are amanda Holliday, Ana bray, and the late cade 6 may he rest in peace. I would love to see if the thunderlord quest was an introduction of some sort than it seems like amanda might get out of the tower soon. She's such a useless vendor and it's a waste of a good story and NPC

Been there. There is actually more snow than before. Can’t go back. Big blue dummy said it’s a bad place. I patted his big bald head, told him it would be alright cause daddy was home, then I pushed his ass off the tower.

no. we''ve already played the Cosmodrome for like, what, 3 years. it was ok to go back into it for 1 mission. but i don't want to have it as a fully functional area again. move on.

4 RepliesThe cosmodrome is cool and all but the destiny franshise needs to move forwards. With rumors of d3 and the Darkness floating around, the destiny franshise is coming to an end faster than we thought. This means we need to push forwards new content and new spaces, not go backwards. By the end of the bungie-activision 10 year contract i want to remember cool new spaces in every dlc, new enemies, and actually go to places in the lore. On earth alone we still could go to the Sahran contested zone, swamps of chicago, and the village that Shin Malfur came from. And that doesn't even include the dozen other places that could be future dlcs that are in the lore. We went to the cosmodrome in d1 and then we got it again in Roi, now we are asking for it in d2, so where does it end? Stop asking for stuff to satisfy your ravenous nostalgia because we dont have much time left with destiny and the lore needs to be flushed out in-game. I don't want to come off as rude, so to each their own, and i really do respect the opposing positions. I just believe that we need to get as much cool new stuff as possible before destiny comes to an end.

4 RepliesIf they did bring back a full version of Cosmodrome, I'd like to see the snow covered, wrecked version on the other side of the hangar that we couldn't get to from the plaguelands. I'd want to get into all the areas (Kings den, Cayde's secret crap rocket, etc.), new areas, and have lost sectors throughout. Make an old, familiar place feel brand new. And keep it connected to the plaguelands. Just one big ol' map.

2 RepliesHow about we get new areas? I don't want to pay for copy and paste shit in this game, I want new stuff. Tangled Shore, Dreaming City are great examples of what Bungie and associates can do. Leave the past right there and let's look forward to new content, new weapons, armour and exotics. Stop encouraging the return of old shit.

honestly, i just wish bungie would have a good snow map. walking around the cosmodrome was such a peaceful time for me, and honestly nothing could compare to ending a whole day of grinding with over 300 spinmetal and feeling happy. the cosmodrome is easily the best d1 area.

No, I spent 3 years with the Cosmodrome. I want new content and destinations. Never been a fan of nostalgia.
