I've attempted all Xbox recommended steps ranging from closing and reopening the game, to turning off the Xbox and turning it back on, to turning off the Xbox and turning it back on taking out to power cord waiting 30 seconds and turning it all back on, to removing my gamer profile restarting the xbox and then reattaching the profile.
-
I've also verified that it is not the network that is causing the issue by resetting those systems. And I've had my xbox under two different internet connections recently.

Something that typically works for Destiny achievements is this: in-game, go to settings > logout > switch profiles, and then sign back in.

Any other ideas that I could try?

No, sorry. Like Rocker said, this has always worked for me.
-
I attempted this step to no effect. Thanks for the advice though.

Follow these steps. Destiny 1 was really bad about this, Destiny 2 is better, but not great. Every time I knew I got an achievement done on both games, I followed these steps and the achievement would pop up as soon as I logged back into the game.

I'm glad it worked for you. Unfortunately, this didn't work for me. Any other ideas?
-
Sorry, I don't.

No worries. Thanks for the comment anyways!
