Very curious about how matchmaking works after the recent match I had in competitive.
The last match I had put us up against a team of users with very drastic differences in glory rank compared to my team, yet I found only 1 similarity between the two teams.
These are the glory ranks of each team...
My Team's Glory Points:
Myself - 1,606
Fireteam teammate 1 - 662
Fireteam teammate 2 (was host of fireteam) - 1,135
Random teammate through matchmaking - 1,555
Other Team's Glory Points:
Enemy 1 - 1,466
Enemy 2 - 5,401
Enemy 3 - 5,105
Enemy 4 - 5,166
If you read the spoiler, you can tell that there was only 1 person on the other team that had ANY similar glory rank to our team.
So for fireteams, is the matchmaking based off of the average of each player on the fireteam? Is it based off of the fireteam leader's glory points? Because I don't think my team (or anyone that has 1000 glory points) should be getting put up against people who have over 5000 glory points if it's based off of glory points alone.

The changes on match making is disastrous. I worked my S off to get my points to 3k+. Now lost 11 matches in a row and back at 2888 points. I don’t want to play competitive anymore. I just play matches that my team gets crushed. It is no fun at all and I just keep losing points. I just stopped playing competitive thanks to Bungie’s new match making! They don’t take in account the amount of games played to get the points people have and also not the ka/d stats. So this match making is just rubbish.
