Pace Yourself, Don't Force It (Broadsword and Luna's Howl)

*Above is a link to a tweet from Kevin Yanes that I'll be mentioning later* - Many players, like myself, procrastinated the grind for Redrix's Claymore forcing and devoting themselves and their playtime in that grind at the end of this Season. Some of you may have achieved this goal, congrats to you, and others will have to wait until next Season to try again. I'll be taking on the Broadsword as an opportunity to play to learn, to enjoy PvP more, but along the way I could get Luna's Howl as well. - Pace yourselves. If you aren't the biggest PvP player, play solo, and/or don't have a consistent group of friends to enjoy your time with....pace yourself. Forcing yourself into an activity and only that activity for a long stretch of time you aren't enjoying is a good way to get discouraged and quit. - Instead, do a couple games a week, maybe enough for your Crucible milestone. ONLY PLAY COMPETITIVE. Why in the world would you do that? Kevin Yanes has stated that Valor win streaks will not reset when you lose in Competitive (link above). That means you could always have a 5-win streak in Valor even when you lose a game in Competitive, just as long as you stay out of Quickplay and not take a chance at a loss. You'll be making progress for the Valor rewards and 5 resets needed for the Broadsword as well as chipping away at a little more forgiving Glory Rank towards Luna's Howl. Playing a minimum of 3 games a week in Competitive will give you a little bonus Glory points every week also. The only thing you need to focus on is using a Pulse Rifle and the only reason to not be in Competitive is when you need other game mode completions for certain steps in the Broadsword Quest. - Chip away at it. You don't need to do to all 3 characters every week, just one. You'll eventually get it. If you want to do more, if you have nothing else to do, all the power to you. Just don't force it. Enjoy the ride and everything Forsaken will have to offer.

The only thing I am mostly concerned about is getting the pulse rifle only Killa out of the way as fast as possible. Which would entail the 200 kills and the Crit kills, and it isn't specific on the double kills. The 75 games, 150 element kills and what it seem fairly simple. The 5 resets isn't that bad either, especially with the 3x XP events. Last time they had that I nearly reset 2 twice in the same week. I wonder if the tasks carry over? Like, do you need to get 200 kills and none of your headshot kills count until you get to that step? Same for double plays? You'd figure you'd get at least 25 games of Quickplay while you're grinding the kills too :/ I may take your advice and run comp strictly to get the best of both worlds when it comes to ranking. Surely I'll hit rank 3 or so in comp before I reset valor 5 times... 🙂 I also heard Luna's will also be a quest as well. Jeez, I'll be going for that too. Which is why I wanna get the pulse exclusive kills over with asap in case that quest requires handcannon kills (which I am waaay better at) lol
