Sentinel and Arcstrider don't get new Supers, so I made them for you

Agree!

Disagree.

They should get new supers, but different ones

For some reason, Sentinel and Arcstrider got the stick when it comes to new Forsaken supers. I made them for you. Because it is late, just implement them, and see if players like them. Here it is. Mind you, they would make players powerful. This is what players have been asking for. Other supers would be buffed to match their level. Arcstrider: Electrosnare. Basically, the Arcstrider would plant 4 beacons into the ground. The maximum distance for this would be around half the space between the rotating circular doors in the Burning Shrine crucible map back in D1. The enemy would not see any sign of the trap except for dark, small patrol beacons, that can easily be concealed. When they enter the trap, they would be snared by powerful currents of electricity. The more they move, the more they are damaged, and the more they shoot, the more they are damaged. It would block the trapped enemies from using their abilities, locking them out of their super and resetting their grenade and melee cooldown back to zero. If they stay too long in the containment field, they start getting damaged. Rotating your Guardian while in the trap would do 15 damage, at the same rate as the Solar grenade. Of course, the ability cool down wouldn't apply to Ultras. The damage for moving in this super, in the Crucible, would be 50 damage, at the same rate as the Solar grenade. The only way to get out of the trap is to find and shoot 2 of the beacons. If an explosion is close enough to it ( e.g. grenade launchers, rockets, explosive rounds ), they are destroyed, but only an explosion close enough to it, and rockets do the most damage and have the most blast radius, then grenade launchers, then explosive rounds. The beacons self-destruct after 60 seconds. While in the containment field, health regeneration is slowed down VERY dramatically. If you destroy 1 beacon, it remakes the trap. Say, if the trap is in a square shape, it turns to a right triangle. This means if you move very slowly and intermittently, you can get to the edge of the trap and shoot a beacon, getting you out of the trap and free to help others. There would be a FAINT blue trail, showing electrons coming out and electrocuting Guardians, they can help you find the beacons, as they lead to them. It plays on real-life hunters using traps for their animals that they catch. Let creative ideas flow. Sentinel: 2 Eyes for an Eye When enemies come within 25 meters, they are marked. If they do not get out within 6 seconds, they die instantly. This does not apply through walls. If, mid-super, the Sentinel is shot, the damage is reduced 2-fold, and the full damage is applied to whoever shot the Titan. Snipers beware. To compensate, the Sentinel would have a subtle, but noticeable, purple glow. Health regeneration is reduced to make sure teams can swap people to kill the Sentinel. Let creative ideas flow. If you agree, up vote and bump this. If you don't, consider the fact that people have creativity. If you don't like this but have creativity, don't down vote it, first discuss and comment why you don't like it, and then give solutions, maybe suggestions for a new super. If you don't like this and don't have any creativity of your own, don't denigrate my ideas. Or anyone's, for that matter.

  • Before destiny 2 came out remember the leaked photos of the characters holding the known today sentinel arcstrider and dawnblade. As a hunter main I just focused on the hunter pic thinking it was holding a spear of such until released to be a staff. I was thinking like a week ago maybe they can make that happen in forsaken and make it a spear you throw like hammer of sol but a few different perks like. If you throw your spear at most 5 feet in front of you,you can press a button and semi teleport there like how you teleport with the exotic sword from warmind.

  • Ok. Arcstrider is far to op. I don’t like the idea of increased chances of someone not being able to escape a super. Maybe a kind of arc net placed on the floor which slows guardians down. Doesn’t kill them, they can be killed yet they can still escape. (Slowness is removed after they leave the net). Sentinel is ok. The idea of being able to reflect damage is an interesting concept, however I feel it should only apply to a peripherally vision effected area.

      • Arcstrider - Way too insanely trolly, and seems near impossible to escape. Your "escape clause" of shooting 2 other beacons (that you mention are easily concealable, especially so since no map is just a blank field) is absolutely absurd, and so is the duration of 60 seconds. With this super, you are literally punished for doing ANYTHING, literally making anyone trapped have to not play the game. Move? Take damage. Turn? Take damage. Fight back? Take damage. What else can you do except sit and wait to die? Sentinel - The second part seems like a good idea, where damage is reflected, which would encourage tactics for every player on a team to deal enough damage, as to not kill themselves. I only see this being fair if the regeneration rate of the titan super is reduced dramatically. The first part of this super is absurd, as the overall movement speed in this game is way too slow for a 3 second escape time. You could run into the middle of a team, jump back and forth and wipe them. a 6-8 second clause seems much more fair, allowing you to use it to make the enemies leave a corpse, objective, etc. And a subtle glow is not compensating anything. There should be a large visible radius for the enemy team to see, so they know whether they need to flee or not. My 2 cents.
