The Archival-Darkness Concept Part 4/7 - Reasoning and Background

<So. You've seen my mad theories and my seemingly broken... everything. So let me explain why I made things the way they were... in detail. The very first cutscene of Destiny 2 has the Ghost talk about the universe. When describing the "ancient enemy" the triangle was about the size of the Traveler. I had issues thanks to my reasoning that the smaller ships just wouldn't function right without being bigger, and my need for them to be a menacing threat led me to scale the Tenebrae Cruisers to fit. Also so I could get a cool shot of the Mothership hovering over Earth. Anyway, artist Chris Bjerre indirectly gave me the perfect out of the presented size situation. He had done some of the Concept Art for the Traveler's Dream. One was a picture of the Collapse. One... different looking Tetrahedral Ship surrounded by dozens of smaller blank ones. Look closely and it looks like one is splitting off from the main ship. So I incorporated it. I know that the Light and Darkness are probably weak to each other, so I made the Cruisers sort of like a suit of armor. It makes it make sense in my head when the Light hits the ships that they don't burn up or something along those lines, instead powering up. Every one of these Cruisers are made by the "5th Race", a topic that will be discussed in part 7. Every concept art of the modern Tetrahedral Ships (AKA the futuristic looking ones) always come with clouds. Well, the "5th Race" clearly doesn't have a planet so where do the clouds in the "green" concept art come from? Also, where on those ships would there be a city? Well... only one place where they could be... INSIDE. So I made the Mothership double as a massive living space, I mean it's big enough, might as well fill that space. Thanks to insight about the clouds by another user and the possibility of the "striped areas" being straight up vents... which actually makes too much sense depending on how you look at it, I put a couple ships inside the Mothership and made every Cruiser have an exhaust system. So, what's my story for all of these things? At the end of the Collapse, the Traveler released a powerful wave of Light after pushing the Darkness beyond the Reef. The Darkness retaliated but took a lot of damage. It left, being followed by the "5th Race" at some point in time. The "5th Race" revered it, built it a frame. They had something in common, and they thought that the Darkness was the answer. They had whole centuries. Centuries to build ships, receive orders, reproduce, etc. Once the Traveler was captured by Ghaul, everyone suffered. When the Traveler awoke, the Tetrahedral Fleet rose up, angry. The Darkness was now fully awake. The Fleet descends upon Sol now, with an army of angry beings and one primordial entity bent on annihilating everything. And fun fact, this stops here. There's another thing I have to get out of the way and then I'll finish this whole thing up. 1/7 -https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/246854315?sort=0&page=0 2/7 -https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/246854681?sort=0&page=0 3/7 -https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/246855041 5/7 -https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/246863872 6/7 -https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/246864125 7/7 -https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/246865078 Imgur Album:https://imgur.com/a/Q8oOVSh Imgur Album 2:https://imgur.com/a/b9luf9Y TL:DR - The post isn't even that long wtf.>
