Or deliberate throttling? Is it possible that the "RNG" can be locked into a pattern on my account? Past 2 weeks across 3 characters only 2 of the 5 Powerful Engrams or Gear drops I collect ever aid in progressing power level, the rest repeat highest power gear and weapons - it rains Heavy, is this because Primary and Secondary can be interchangeably infused to aid increase of PL so Heavy is weighted more? Is there deliberate restriction in how fast it's possible to progress by weighting odds to repeat gear drops? I just progressed CoO on my Hunter and part way through there's a Powerful Engram drop, wasn't expecting it, thought awesome but I bet it gives me Boots or Heavy as they are my highest items and got Boots, not surprised. I even went and did the same on my Titan to "test" and then before turning in the Engram inspected my inventory to show that Boots too were my highest armour and indicate that's what I predict I'll get from the drop, lo and behold, got Boots. Can anyone from Bungie comment on this? Thank you. Ran NF on Hunter tonight, following the Boots trend from the past 2 Powerful Engrams, I got Boots from the item drop at the end of the strike and Exotic Boots from the Milestone Powerful Engram at 1 point lower than current; and a Fusion Rifle (a Heavy, what a surprise). Then upon completing NF on Warlock I get a sword from the strike chest (another Heavy, another surprise) and from the Engram I get an Energy Scout, really a surprise until I realise my Warlock is lower than my other characters so it's of no help and that's why it happened, and gloves, again of no help. Are my Powerful Gear drops glitched or do you think that because I'm a daily player you need to slow my progression down this blatantly? If I stopped playing daily and did maybe 3 Engrams per week over the course of the week only would I get a more even spread of drops so that I have at least some satisfaction in feeling like it's not a managed progression or glitched and make larger jumps in Power Level?
