If Guardians had a choice in game, what would you do?

Follow Osiris

103

Become Taken

47

Abandon the City

366

Take From the Deep

106

Be One With SIVA

177

Bow to Calus

96

Stay With the Vanguard

So I know this idea has been a hot topic for some time but I really want to see the option to turn to stray from the light in the near future. Some of the greatest Guardians of the city have been cast out or turned to the deep or just never was seen as an ally of the city any more. This allowed them to do different things that us normal Guardians cannot. Osiris can create copies of himself in the Infinite Forest, Toland's capabilities have yet to be reviled. Even Dredgen Yor was able to drain the light of other Guardians. I'd like to see this worked into the game somewhere down the line. A few optional side quests that can add/change your character permanently. These would be a time sensitive. For example, every two weeks one of these side quest would be available of the weekend. How you complete these quest can result in different outcomes. -Following directions of the Vanguard will keep you in good favor and build your reputation with them. Higher reputation means more gear. Nothing really changes here -Deviations or disobeying orders will cause you to loose rank. Rank can now go negative. If your rank falls too far you can be banished. Banished guardians still have connection with the light but will have other quest, missions, NPCs and task available to them. These Guardians gather primarily in the Farm. Betraying the Vanguard, bailing on the mission or other specific acts will cause a Guardian to turn. This will vary depending on the enemy involved with may go as follows; -Vex leads to being banished from the city. Instead of going to the tower as a social space, you will gather with other like Guardians in the lookout with Brother Vance or in the Infinite Forest with Osiris himself. (I would prefer if Bungie went with the latter, thank you) These Guardians will most likely be referred to as Followers of Osiris. * Shadows of time; Taking this path allows Guardians to learn the ability to duplicate themselves. These two shadows run along side the host and mimic their every move. Their weapons do 10% of the host's weapons and have 25-75% of the host's health depending on the host's progression on this life path. -The Hive leads to corruption. Guardians are not banished from the city until they have killed another Guardian. (Ie. Push someone off the tower) Once banished, these Guardians will gather on the wreckage of the Dreadnought. * The Weapons used during this quest also become corrupted (similar to Thorn with weaker burn) capable of draining the light of a Guardian. -The Taken leads to corruption and involuntary abandonment of the city. These Guardians gather in a rift between our realm and the next. * Warlocks summon 3 shadows of recently killed foes for 10 seconds with 50% of the host's life points at the cost of 50% super energy. * Titans grant themselves double overshield at the cost of 50% super energy. * Hunters preform rapid dash/blink (taken thrall dash) up to 3 times at the cost of 25-15-10% of shield energy. (in that order) -The Cabal leads to abandoning the city. These Guardians choose to join Emperor Calus and gather in the Leviathan's Tower. * These Guardians trade their light for the power provided by Emperor Calus. This give abilities and supers a higher potency and duration. -Fallen would lead to being captured and augmented with SIVA. Guardians injected with the last remnants of SIVA break free of their Fallen captors but are bared from the city until a cure is found. These Guardians gather just outside the wall of the city in a Quarantine Camp as a social space. * These Guardians and the weapons they have are slowly corrupted by SIVA. Head shot with these weapons deploy SIVA spores that seek near by foes. When these Guardians are killed with head shots, SIVA spores seek the killer for 5 seconds. (Much like the SIVA weapons and SIVA Fallen on D1) This is just another one of my rough ideas I dream up at work but I would love it if it just so happen to find its way to the patch notes.
