Compared to its other competitors, Dawnblade and Arcstrider, it doesn't feel nearly as super! TALK

I’d say just bring baack the destiny 1 defender as it was

Edited by Taxathûn, God of the IRS: 5/24/2018 1:02:07 AMThe Sentinel subclass needs buffing so bad. The super is too short, the hit detection is god awful, and the shield guard should be able to stop knockback attacks. Code of the Protector needs to be able to recharge melee energy with melee kills and the bubble is too weak as we all know. I don't know what to do with Code of the Aggressor but it needs buffing as well. Nothing too crazy just enough to bring it up to par with other skill trees.

There shouldn't be tracking on shield throws.

Edited by ferial56: 5/24/2018 12:02:45 PMMake it so it can block a shit ton more damage, or even have 100% to deflect bullets or supers.

My issues with sentinel are the whack hit detection at times, and that it plays like literally every other Titan subclass. The only unique thing about the subclass is the suppression nades. The throwing shield isn't even always a guaranteed one shot. Then there is the sad condition bubble is in. Legit if they changed it from armor of light AKA trash in D2 to weapons of light, it would compete so hard with sun breaker for end game content. Like in leviathan I could use sunbreaker at calus and do great DPS, or I could pop a bubble and my team would do even better dps. Or Argos in Eater of worlds, bubble would be useful if it was WoL and not AoL.

I miss WoL and BoL
-
Nightstalker is the only subclass that needs a buff at the moment. It has the worst super in pvp of all time.
-
More pve damage, blessing over armor for bubble, orbs on bubble damage taken, blocking damage with sentinel shield extends it's duration, faster shield toss, less loss of momentum with lift mid super, maybe void debuff similar to tractor cannon when hit with the shield toss (15%)

Anyone who plays Titan knows this- or anyone who plays all classes and isn’t a fan boy for a certain class knows this . The sentinel is trash and underused as is. If you take a quick glance at the profiles of people saying “ sentinel is great ! Sentinel is fine ! “ it’s all of them using hunter and warlock mains, and barely have any Titan play time. Freaking useless scrubs
-
All supers need a buff.
-
Oh my God I thought I was alone in this, that shit has happened to me SOOO much. I'm not sure if it's just bad hit registration or lag, but for the love of Lord Shaxx this needs to get fixed
-
Git gud
-
Good video. Once hit detection is sorted out I'm sure everything else will fall in place.
-
Ironically, its versatility is the sentinel's biggest downfall. They we're probably too afraid of it being overpowered so it became a niche Swiss army knife.
-
I find sentinel are in a good spot.
-
Supressor Grenade and defensive strike would say otherwise. The top tree super can be only OK, but you have the BEST MEELE and BEST GRENADE in the game. Armenmentarium gives 2 Supressor grenades AND you can still use a Tractor Cannon to shut down supers. In competitive/trials, Top Tree Sent-titans are the litteral fun police.

Good joke I laughed

Edited by NerdslayerNo1: 5/22/2018 7:10:26 PMI miss hammer Titan of d1 with big explosions and tracking. Oh and I miss rockets that actually track
-
Bubble is very limited Super melee has very poor range Super shield throw has very poor damage output
-
Buff bubble. No use of it now. If you and your team mates could fire thru it it would be usefull.
-
Not saying if it needs a buff or not, but that was awful play, you popped it with suck little health then decide to swipe the shield from a mile away, who do you think you are a warlock melee.
-
Nah, the ability to block is where it shines for me. I clutched a nf win the other week by charging the boss with my shield up and finished off with a throw. It's a completely different utility super than Dawn blade.
-
Hit registration needs to be improved, I feel that arc strider becomes broken when you see them spam attacks and fight through a suppression nade and kill you. The magnetism of the attacks work well but hit registration makes it not as viable, I sometimes feel the shield doesn’t hit as hard as a hammer or dawnblade attack and the enemy guardians runs away. Bubble could be a little stronger too.

Edited by DaMidniteHour: 5/24/2018 3:39:42 AMSentinel needs a couple of new moves in its repertoire. Like, for instance, a shield uppercut like Captain America’s Stars & Stripes (fighting fans will get the reference) assigned to R1/RB. If you hold the button down, you can charge the move for even greater damage. R1/RB mid-air can do a Shield Slam into the ground that can be combo’d from the aforementioned Shield Uppercut.

I find sentinel is waaaay better than dawnblade.. The only good thing about dawn blade is its neutral game. The super sucks in terms of damage in PVE, and in PVP it's very hard to hit your targets and its very easy to dodge. And if you want to use a slightly better version of the super, then you sacrifice the neutral game. It doesn't last as long as it should, and the slight tracking should be on both trees no matter what.
-
Yeah in PvE I always choose to use Striker and Sunbreaker over Sentinel because it doesn't kill as efficiently. There is no reason to use it besides the ward of dawn perk which I find useful.
