Activision is not to blame for the failure of the Destiny Franchise, Bungie is

Activision has always been Activision. They have always had the same reputation, and have always marketed and launched the same type of game design. Bungie Studios went to Activision because they wanted money and they wanted the easy way out. They signed the 10 year contract knowing the ups and downs. They were okay with it. Joseph Staten didn't leave Activision. He left Bungie. Activision didn't fire Marty O'Donnell. Bungie did. They were also successfully sued by Marty for millions and looked like complete fools. In the end of the day, people who think that Activision cast it's large black shadow over Bungie and distorted it into something wicked are wrong and blinded. Bungie had grown out of its childhood wonder and imagination and just wanted to become a selfish, terrible adult. And the best way to do that, was finding Activision in a back-alley somewhere and selling their souls to the devil. I'm sure that even now, if Destiny 2 completed failed, or was even legally shutdown somehow from some freak accident or lawsuit, they'd all be happy at the billions they've made since 2014. Even if they never made another game title for the rest of their lives, they won the lottery on Destiny, and that's all that matters to them. Cheers.
