Do you ever play a game then just decide to stop, without much of a valid reason why? The game is fun, it still has stuff for you to do, loads even, but you decide to just stop playing, even though you were enjoying it?
I ask because it's kind of happening to me, I just sorta dropped Overwatch. The game os fun and I want those cool event skins but... I just don't feel like playing. I don't know what it is.
Sometimes I'll just stop playing a game even though I've stuff to do and I know I'm not too tired to do it. Then tomorrow come back and do very little again... and I have no idea why it's happening.
So... you have any input of your own?

I usually play free games with gold and end up dropping them and never touching them again unless they're really good. It's even more likely for me to drop them if they're 360 games.

I’ve dropped Persona 5. It’s fun, compelling, has plenty for me to do it’s just waaaaayyyy too long. I’m 50 to 60 hours in and possibly looking at another 20 to 40 or so to finish. I honestly can’t say that I’ve learned anything more about the main plot then when I was 4 hours in. That’s what finally killed it for me.

Witcher 3... Great game. Dropped simply temporarily for space.

Edited by arf1049: 5/2/2018 7:06:08 AMI have a game I consistently drop yet still keep picking it up. Like a retarded kid with a toad when his parents keep telling him to release it. The Division.

-Dishonored (Loved it) -Prey (Liked it) -Dark Souls 3 (Barely played) -Skyrim (Overwhelming) -Assassin's Creed Origins (Lackluster) I drop games due to various reasons. Sometimes I start playing other things with friends or a game I was really excited for comes out. Or I simply get bored and disinterested.

Dying Light is the latest example of that for me. I was making my way through it (probably still near the beginning, but hitting my stride) and then Burnout Paradise remastered came out. I haven't made it back to DL yet.

I only play one game at a time. Played warframe since last October and dropped it recently for.... for.... fortnite. Don't judge me! I've got 2 boys and they got me into it! Judge them! It's all their fault!!!
I just don't feel like playing. I don't know what it is.Sometimes I'll just stop playing a game even though I've stuff to do and I know what it is
Its you're gut telling you that you aren't having fun any more while your head is trying to tell you all the reasons why you "should" be having fun. If you aren't enjoying the game, you aren't enjoying the game....and that's reason enough to stop. You don't have to "justify" it.

Im the self proclaimed king of dropped games. Once i get bored, i dont feel like playing anymore. Happens with soo many games these days. Kinda why my interest with gaming has been fading.

Here is a small list Battlefield 1 Call of duty black ops 3 Halo the mcc Rainbow six siege(I still play every other week tho) Forza Motorsport 7(don’t buy it it’s extremely bad) Fortnite(I don’t care for it)
-
The reason you stop playing something is that the alternative (be it another game, etc) is more appealing. The reasons may not be 100% apparent, but they’re there. I would claim that’s true for all of us.

I did this with both over watch when it first came out (I started playing it religiously for a while when the first winter wonderland event came out) and Halo Wars 2, payed $80 for the deluxe edition and had a lot of fun in the campaign and multiplayer but just stopped playing, I even uninstalled it recently and I have no reason to justify why
-
<Titanfall 2 and DOOM. No reason why I dropped them. I haven't finished the DOOM campaign. I'm right up to the Hell Guards and I know I'm close to the end but I don't know why I haven't finished...>
-
yes the sad thing is sometimes i pay for those games too
-
I do that with a lot of single player games. Especially when my multiplayer games are holding some sort of limited time event or when my buddies are all online.

Edited by Pyrus: 4/26/2018 11:36:43 PMSome games. Usually it's games that I: -Run out of things to do (Temporarily Destiny, Fallout 4) -Lost interest in (BOTW after finishing about 75% of the shrines) -Dislike (No Man's Sky)
-
Yeah, sometimes I'll just pick a game up and then, for no apparent reason, let go. Bam, it's on the floor now.
-
This is a reason, but an arguably bad one. In the witcher 3 I stopped playing because when you stop moving or change directions you have to wait for the animation to stop. That made the movement feel bad to me and I quit a great game cuz of that.
-
Yeah I dropped Titanfall 2. Should go back and play it as it’s my favorite shooter this gen
-
I randomly dropped Halo Wars 2 about a month after it came out. No real reason why. Fired it up again yesterday and had a blast. Maybe I’ll finally finish the campaign.
-
I just have a limited time to play games but it's hard to find the time when I have three other games I want to play as well.
-
I do from time to time, if I'm stuck on one, I'll hop on another game. Did that a lot with Castlevavania & SOTC, R/Evil 3 & Silent Hill.
-
My brother in law quits every single game before finishing them. The reason why is he buys a new game almost every week, and those are just the physical copies. His digital library is insane
-
Happens to me all the time.
-
i dont know what it was with persona 5, but i would binge play like 20 hours in a few days and then not touch it for weeks then repeat the process
-
Neir: Automata Still have to go back and finish it...
