Did anybody else hang out at Court of Oryx in D1 hoping other players would show up and participate after the first month? Or orbit...run to the Court...find nobody...rinse and repeat? This will be cool because it “new” for a short time then it will be abandoned just like before. That’s my prediction, it could end up being wrong. It could be fixed by making the arena a specific traveled to area from orbit. At least then people would get matched with others wanting to do the activity not just waiting in the sandbox for others to show up.

I think thats why they are placing it in a public space. Coo was different, but forge had matchmaking issues because it was its own instance.

Slow walking to that area always did the trick for me.

I did CoO weekly. Craps rewards but I liked the boss rotation, twofer bosses, and the big guys - especially Crota's cousin...

I mean like six months later I still run into people doing public events so.

Just like Archon’s Forge.

The problem with CoO and to an extent AF was location. This will be out in the open.

I think it’s a more extensive version of CoO and Archons Forge in that there is a bigger loot table, it’s harder, and you can’t just run 1 round in 2 minutes. It’s gonna be more like 20 min if you want to go to the final round. Also all of the round 7 bosses are unique

I was almost always able to find people. Even on LFG people wanted to run tier 3 relics

I think it will probably work similar to the forge worked in rise of iron. Where it does some match making as you approach. Or use what they do now for public events. Public events were improved to find people when you join. Will it be perfect, I doubt it. But I'm sure it will the better then the court.
