Yes, frozen hive is bs, even [u]if[/u] bungie gave them some extra abilities. But we haven't seen everything yet and we know how bungie likes to keep some things as a surprise. So there is a chance that there could be all new enemies to fight. Maybe, but I'm not holding my breath.
