Disc Not Reading? Call 1-800-4-MY-XBOX for support (see page 35).
Every game I have reads fine but Reach will not load. No scratches and it won't even get to the point where I can install it to the HDD. It even came up as a DVD a few times...
Urk: If you are experiencing disc read errors with Halo: Reach, please contact customer support at 1-800-4-MY-XBOX and report the issue. As soon as we have more concrete information, we'll update this thread with the next steps.

my problem is similar but everything works fine besides that the maps wont load 4 me and my disc is fine.... i think its microsoft messing up cuz it happened 2 my halo 3 cd 2 -_-

Then I was no longer able to play Cliffhanger. After this, I was no longer able to start some campaign missions. Sword Base no longer is able to be played either. I can play custom games on the multiplayer maps fine, just not in matchmaking. It annoys me to no end. Asylum and Cliffhanger both load up but freeze at a random time. When the Campaign maps say "Loading...", my game usually freezes there. Sword Base won't even launch. My Xbox freezes in the loading screen. I can't even complete the Weekly Challenge because of this :(

my xbox plays perfectly, there is a crack going in the disk, but when i buat the game i INSTALLED it on the hdd so i plays fine

Halo Reach won't even boot up. It goes to a blank green screen after the loading screen, and then 30 seconds later says the disc is unreadable. Castlevania:LOS, Gears 2, and Dragon Age don't have this problem, as they all run perfectly. [Edited on 07.08.2011 10:35 AM PDT]

Okay, so I'm having very specific problems with this. I can't start missions at all for Campaign (except Noble Actual), I can't start any MM games at all, I can't start any FFMM games at all (even Score Attack), BUT I can play Custom Games, as long as I am by myself. I flew around Spire in a Falcon for a while by myself and ended the game no problem, but I tried to start a custom game with people over Live, and it didn't work. I would say that it's a simply an Xbox Live issue, but I can't play campaign, so I really don't know what's wrong. It only fails right when the game should start, it starts up Reach just fine. Oh, and I can't start Halo 3 MM games either, same problem.

I have a different problem, my Halo: Reach only lets me access the menus but nothing else, it just says player failed to load content, if anybody has had this problem and has fixed it message me! i really need to get this fixed!

My disk can be read, but the problem is that every time I go to matchmaking it says "Loading information from Halo: Reach server" so I cant play. If i download the game to my hard drive would that help? Also I have the original Xbox 360. [Edited on 06.30.2011 9:08 AM PDT]

ive never had this problem but yeah customer support is the way to go but i have mine installed and it randomly forces me to the dashboard saying that the disc is unreadable even though its installed -.-

I've had the same troubles, and it's not that you leave games, for me at least it's that I fail out at the end and it says disc unreadable. I still get the credits but it thinks I've left because I've not been in postgame. I emailed about this and it stopped happening saying I'll be kicked out at least! A DVD lens cleaner is maybe also a good idea - will be my step when I get paid.

I have the OG xbox and reach will only read if I blow hot air on the disk before closing the tray. hope this helps.
