Disc Not Reading? Call 1-800-4-MY-XBOX for support (see page 35).
Every game I have reads fine but Reach will not load. No scratches and it won't even get to the point where I can install it to the HDD. It even came up as a DVD a few times...
Urk: If you are experiencing disc read errors with Halo: Reach, please contact customer support at 1-800-4-MY-XBOX and report the issue. As soon as we have more concrete information, we'll update this thread with the next steps.

Ok so this is the first time I am posting I was just wondering if any one know how to get the lock off of your account? I kept getting kicked off the internet because of bad conection and now it says that I cannot play matchmaking because I quit to many games. Very frustrating....Can any one help?

I've installed the game, and over two discs I get kicked out of games to the dashboard. Gonna try it uninstalled.

ya i have an older xbox the halo 3 version, and when i try 2 put in the game, it says open tray so it wont even load. all my other games play fune, so idk wat to do.

Ive been having a similar problem with disk mess ups lately, the disk works like a charm on miltiplayer, even with a crack in it, but hardly ever works on campaign or firefight, will installing the game help much? And if so, will it take up a lot of memory? [Edited on 07.27.2011 12:33 PM PDT]

hey JimtHEclOWNED, i solved it on my own but thanks anyhoo. i just deleted reach off my hard drive and reinstalled it. works like a charm now :) [Edited on 07.25.2011 4:51 PM PDT]

For me only the modern Halos don't work, 3, ODST, and Reach, everything works but starting a match. No problems with any other games.

I get the "disc unreadable" only on my xbox 360 slim. Reach runs perfectly on my old 360 elite. Anyone have any ideas of why?

Mihir Nambiar, keep playing and pray for the best knowing that: 1) You can follow everyone elses advice and install ( Might solve issue) Or uninstall it, I uninstalled and it actually worked for a bit. 2) If warranty still applies, which I think you fall under, phone microsoft about it, they most likely will give you a speech about "oh its not the machine problem" etc.. 3) Test other games, if they have the same problem, you might eventually have to get a new xbox(warranty or buy a new one)

i started getting the unreadable disk error yesterday on my 250GB slim. it happens only during load screens before/after a matchmaking game and then the game works after with the error popping up every 3/4 games. the game worked fine for months and i dont see any scratches on the disk. what should i do?

you need to get your xbox sent in for repairs, I had that same problem and I always got DC'd from loading screens and what not. [Edited on 07.17.2011 2:52 PM PDT]

I just can't load the space mission and beat campaign because of it. And I can't play on powerhouse in custom or in matchmaking

I simply installed the game to the hard drive. It made me start campaign again but it was worth the space and time to play it over again. The disc had a crack near the center, preventing me from playing reach for a long period of time. Once i installed the game it worked like nothing had happened.
