Okay, So I've Seen/Heard the Cries of the Community...

Alright guardians, I know I'm basically a nobody to most of the forums, but I've been reading, discussing and listening to what the community has had to say about this disappointing excuse for a game. I've read many legit ideas and suggestions that people have brought forward to improve the game and make it legend again. Let's try to get our voices paid serious attention to. DISCLAIMER: This post is rather lengthy and detailed, and may not be perfect or touch on what you feel will make the game better. I'm more than open and happy to discuss things that I may have neglected. If you wanna troll then that's cool too because right now this game kinda deserves it lol...please upvote and give feedback should you manage to get through the whole thing =) Constructive ways to improve D2: 1. Make weapons and armor more unique; there are multiple ways in which this can be done a. Reintroduce random perk rolls b. Expand the mod system so that instead of just damage type, you can swap out perk mods for static perks c. Introduce a craftsman table where we can break down weapons and armor into components and rebuild a completely custom piece. This alone would give plenty of incentive and reason to replay different content as each mission/planet/activity would reward different gear sets, which would drop different types of components (mobility, resilience, survival for armor..random drops for weapon components). 2. More expanded skill trees a. All guardian types should have all 6 grenades available to them per element (ARC: Flux, Pulse, Storm, Lightning, Skip, Arcbolt; SOLAR: Incendiary, Tripmine, Fusion, Swarm, Firebolt, Firewall, Thermite; VOID: Magnetic, Spike, Voidwall, Vortex, Axion Bolt, Scatter) b. Reintroduce "ways" that affect guardian attributes (e.g. Way of the Knight increases resilience by 2, but reduces speed by 1) 3. Loadout Improvements a. Snipers need to be either moved from the power slot to the primary/secondary slots or there needs to be a new weapon type introduced like a "long rifle" so as to add a No Man's Land type of weapon to the gun fight. Snipers as they currently are feel rather clunky and aren't effective as power weapons in PVE as everyone opts for Rockets/Fusion Rifles. You should also introduce more LMG type weapons like sweet business. b. Class armor should have a mobility/resilience/recovery stat. 4. Crucible a. Add a CTF type of game mode with 6v6 or 8v8 b. Crucible should not be limited to "Quickplay" and "Competitive" playlists. We should be able to choose what game modes we want to play, even if it means waiting a little longer to find a match in said game mode c. Introduce a big map mode (8v8) where sparrows and other map-specific vehicles/weapons can be utilized (Scorch Cannon in Crucible anyone? lol) d. Add a ranking system to the competitive and trials playlists that shows K/D and/or W-L records e. Reduce TTK to somewhere in the 0.75-0.85 seconds range. Team shooting will still be effective and matches won't feel as dragged out. f. Dedicated servers for competitive/ranked matches/trials g. Reintroduce light level advantages, or at the very least a tier system for crucible (260-280 = tier 1; 280-300 = tier 2; 300+ = tier 3) where a difference of 10 light level = 5% damage difference (lower light does 5% less damage and higher light does 5% more damage or something to that effect) 5. PVE Endgame (Strikes, Raids, Lost Sectors) a. Add more backstory to the lost sectors so that we have context as to why they've been introduced in the Destiny universe. b. There should be a heroic/prestige version of the lost sectors where there's an extra area unlocked and by completing it you get some kind of unique reward c. Strikes need better loot that makes them worth doing, not having a chance to drop me the same loot that I can just farm weapon parts and get from the gunsmith. Prestige strikes should drop next level gear (305 minimum). d. Prestige gear should look unique from other gear (maybe an aura like flawless gear, or give it a special shader); Prestige gear should also have really awesome rolls (e.g. scout rifle with armor piercing and dragonfly) e. Raid(s) should connect to the story better so that there is more of a felt purpose to completing it other than grinding for gear. The grinding part should come after the first-time experience (hence what makes something replayable) f. Raid(s) should have more mini-bosses instead of a series of challenges and then one big boss g. Raid gear should grant raid-specific perks so as to make grinding not as difficult or tedious as when we didn't have raid gear. h. Endgame gear should be the only way to reach the max light (Prestige Strikes/Nightfall, Prestige Raid, Trials, Iron Banner) All other gear should get you strong enough to participate/compete in the more prestigious activities That's all that I have for now...for those of you who defend Bungie and tell those of us who are frustrated to be constructive and try to help repair/improve the game..here you go. Again, I apologize if I missed specific concerns/adjustments that people have made. My aim was to post the general idea with some specific ways that these things could be implemented in the game to keep it fresh, but still feel legendary.
