I was able to turn the last scene there with Halsey to get the information that was on the bottom of the screen but backwards.. Not sure what the words mean... Other than seeing SpecWar.... EPIC ViDoc! To see Halsey awesome.... Jen voicing her as well even better. She still sounds just as good as she did when she did Halo: CE. This definitely raises the hype meter for good reason... Bungie you lads and ladies sure are pulling out all the stops to send Reach off with one Hell of a BANG! Thank you!

According to legends, she should be sleep right now. maybe they just forgot?[/quote] Actually no. The ep in Halo Legends "The Package", Chief was wearing Mark IV armor. During the events of Reach and Halo 001, he was wearing Mark V, and in Halo 2 and 3 it was Mark VI. Since Chief didn't actually get the Mark V armor until JUST before the Fall of Reach, that would place "The Package" at a time prior to Halo: Reach. Which considering that they had the Mark IV armor for roughly 25 years, it could have been at any point really.

Mendez and Kurt Ambrose (Kurt-051) were actually both on the planet Onyx during the events of Reach and Halo:CE. He didn't meet up with Halsey until she arrived on Onyx. Good theory though. This is a wild theory but I believe the person Halsey is talking to is Kurt Ambrose. After all Bungie has Kurt's name [url=http://www.bungie.net/projects/reach/article.aspx?ucc=personnel&cid=24040]HERE[/url]. And the community Halopedia does consider the books to be canon. And there are very slight differences in the books (The Fall of Reach, The Flood) to how the game plays out. Even the timelines get a bit skewed when talking about the games (Halo 3 ODST End clip with Sgt Johnson states it was a month later even though the events that took place between Halo 2 and Halo 3 was in fact just a few days.) I think Bungie respects the established canon, and may bend it a bit here or there if needed, but they wouldn't outright break it.

Now this is the stuff I'm talking about. Someone, somewhere, I wish I remembered where... had posted a small concept drawing of a woman with gray hair and an angled bob haircut like Cortana. I thought it may just be a random civilian but when I clicked to save it, it was titled Halsey. I was like "Crap... a spoiler" but I obviously had no idea how legit it was. So I wasn't surprised to see her at the end of the trailer, other than you guys were willing to actually show that. I noticed "Cortana's" voice sounded different but it didn't click with me that it might be Halsey talking that whole time. I guess I pictured her not sharing Cortana's voice as well, but it is cool all the same. Love that screen shot of Kat's face. Make it a Gamer Picture pack I can buy in the Xbox Marketplace, please [i]please[/i] PLEASE! I will love you forever more than I already do. :D

For example: you have to organize the human-tower of spartans that MC climbs on to get out of the gravitational pull of reach and then the last guy throws MC up with escape velocity and everyone else falls back down

Dr. Hadley created Cortana by sending an electromagnetic pulse through a carefully cloned version of her brain. So yes they share a similar voice, though not the same. And yes, Hasley is described as having longer dark hair but this begs the issue "Is Eric Nylund's book canon in Bungies eyes?" For those of you still on the MC thing, N6 was enlisted as a guy as far as Halo's story is concerned, the ability to make him a girl in the campaign is sheerly player choice and does not therefore affect the status of N6 possibly or possibly not being the MC.

Noble 6 is not MC. However, they talk of a 'final hope' for humanity that has to be protected by someone- at the end they make their choice. Anyone ever think MC is the final hope, and at the end YOUR job as Noble 6 will be to safely see him off or keep him alive somehow? Maybe you have to protect the Pillar? I haven't read the books but this would definitely fit what's in the trailer and appeal to the fans who love MC and want him involved in the game...

Can some one catch me up to speed, i just started reading Reach again for the second time but in the first chapter it describes Halsey as long dark hair but the vidoc shows her with blonde as do some of the videos out there? Secondly if i remember right, she created/programmed Cortana based on herself and personality which made me think she was talking to Cortana because i thought they shared the same voice? Can someone correct me if I'm wrong, it's been quite awhile and this is based on memory? Thanks Awesome Vidoc, gave me goosebumps!

I am getting properly excited for this game, but like a few others, the dialogue in this Vidoc seemed... way over the top. Did anyone else get the same feeling that is was like putting new words into the Lord of the Rings opening?
