Is, perhaps the only other spartan with as good of a rating as Noble six, Sierra 117? I think so, but who was Halsey talking to? It couldn't possibly be Cortana, for she was with Sierra 117 at the given time when the Covenant first invaded Reach.

To clear things up. Halsey was talking to Cortana about her picking Master Chief. Hence her saying "Great minds think alike." And btw theres a good chance Keys will be in the game as well due to the fact that his picture was on a screen about 2/3's into the ViDoc!!! Can't -blam!- wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thoughts?[/quote] agree with all of this. as soon as i watched the vidoc this is what came to mind. specifically with regards to the vidoc as a trailer for the game - it means there is a larger purpose to fighting an epic losing battle; noble 6 will have to get something off the planet / into the right hands - or die trying. That's exciting. and the canon supports everything you proposed based on first strike and fall of reach

All just supposing though.[/quote] wrong sir. the words used at the halo 3 opening are referencing the conversation that cortana had with dr halsey about choosing MC when she did. So this conversation in the reach vidoc is either the same conversation as another poster referenced (ie: she chose the chief over noble 6) or, if they are strict with canon (where she only had her choice of the spartan II's) then this is an additional story and cortana has to make a choice again as she assists/advises Hasley on a decision. They just like to do this more conversationally. And the "great minds do think alike" is just their way of saying "I agree with your assesment" without sounding too military-ish

Although Auntie Dot's avatar shows throughout the Vidoc, doesn't really mean Halsey was talking to her. Thoughts?[/quote] That's actually very probably a near-end mission. Halsey did talk about in the ViDoc how only ONE of the Spartans would be able to CARRY their last hope. Cortana fits those perimeters (Master Chief would be nowhere without her). That would be a really awesome mission too, perfectly tying into the beginning of Halo: CE. I was able to turn the last scene there with Halsey to get the information that was on the bottom of the screen but backwards.. Not sure what the words mean... Other than seeing SpecWar....
