reported for modding?!? i wouldn't even know where to start
Hello,
A user that goes by the PSN handle [REDACTED] has informed me that he is "reporting me for modding". Apparently, it was because I used a grenade to kill him while his super was active... I don't remember the kill, though I can only assume he was team shot and my grenade was the final blow. I don't know and, to be honest, I don't care.
What I do care about is that an investigation be undertaken to make sure that I do not MOD, as alleged, before any ban be put in place. For the record, I absolutely do not MPD and I didn't even know it was possible with a PSN - look at my average crucible K/D and you'll see that it's highly unlikely that I MOD! You can even see that I've undertaken trials ONCE in three years of destiny! That's how unlikely it is that I am a MOD'er.
Anyway, I just wanted to set the record straight as, like many people, I've been grinding away to get ready for the raid and I didn't want some sore loser (oh, his team won by the way...) to ruin the experience I've been waiting so long for.

1 ReplyHey Fellsky, I've removed the user's name from your post as it's against Bungie's name/shame policy (you can read our full Code of Conduct [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Groups/Post?groupId=121&postId=162456429]here[/url]). If you did not cheat, then you have nothing to worry about. Bungie does not ban players on reports alone. They investigate each case to see if the user was actually cheating. If you weren't cheating, then you won't be banned.

if you didnt cheat, nothing will happen, regardless what some retard in pvp says. mute him and thats the end of it. no reason to lose sleep over it. people accused me of cheating several times when i did good or even when i went 12/7 in destiny 1, yet i have never been banned. pvp players are just salty. and for any future childs who report you: dont post it on the forum. bungie will never read it, they wont care and if you get banned, they wont unban you. just mute the people and ignore them.

6 RepliesFirst of all, take the name out of your post. Naming and shaming isn't allowed here. Second, it takes more than one report from an upset child to start an investigation into your account. If all it took was one, EVERYONE would be under investigation. Also, since he messaged you about it, it's likely that he didn't send a report at all and is either trying to upset you, which it appears to have worked brilliantly, or he's trying to get you to lash back at him so that he DID have a legitimate reason to report you.
