Dodge Doesn't Deserve an Ability Slot

Unlike the Titan and Warlock, the Hunter's ability, Dodge, doesn't help the team in [i]any[/i] way. It's a selfish ability with an obscene charge time for what it does. As I played the Hunter (Arcstrider, despite all it's shortcomings, I loved how it felt) for a majority of the Beta, I used the Dodge quite a lot. I have to say, it felt pathetically underpowered. In it's current state, it should just be placed on the Subclass trees with differing perks according to the Subclass and effects on the Tree in question, like the Icarus Dash (Twilight Garrison effect) on Dawnblade. Arcstrider; Way of the Warrior Gambler's Dodge should replace Lethal Current. Lethal Current is something that the Arcstrider should have intrinsically. Way of the Wind Gambler's Dodge animations, with the effect of Fleetfooted afterwards for a short duration. Lightning Reflexes should be replaced by this. Why? Because it SHOULDN'T BE A PERK AT ALL!!! YOU SHOULD BE HARDER TO KILL WHILE DODGING! PERIOD Gunslinger; Way of the Outlaw Marksman Dodge should replace Chains of Woe. Why? I'll get into that later on in the post. Way of the Sharpshooter Marksman Dodge animation, now with the effect of: Dodging leaves behind a static image of you. Disappears after it takes a small amount of damage. Call it Trapper Dodge. This should replace Crowd-Pleaser. Why? Precision hits with Golden Gun should be an intrinsic feature, as well as Generating Orbs for your allies with each hit. New Class ability ideas for the Hunter; Patch of Valor: Upon activation, Precision Kills grant additional Reload Speed to you and allies. Stackable effect of up to 30% Patch of Godspeed: Upon activation, Precision Kills grant additional Sprint Speed to you and allies. Stackable effect of up to 30%. Set Diversion: Upon activation, Smoke is emitted from the user, rendering you and allies within temporarily invisible. Improvised Diversion: Upon activation, a stream of electrified Smoke is emitted from the user, allowing the user to setup a custom barrier.

  • Hunters need to have invisibility. It is unacceptable to not have this as a perk, melee, or ability option of some kind. I suggest remove dodge as an ability. Just make it a movement perk attacked to OO like the Warlocks have with a long cool down. Replace it with hold down O for invisibility. You can get that done in six weeks. Just do it!
