First and foremost: the ability charge rates across all abilities are very slow. The Super is probably the most painful.
I used Axion Darts and love the charging ability. The arming radius seems like it was significantly reduced from D1, though; to the point of feeling inconsistent.
The rift ability is very cool. It doesn't last very long but it adds an interesting element to the gameplay. One issue with it is being bound to the slide button. It feels like the game mistakes double tapping to slide for holding it down. I have, on multiple occasions, tried sliding back to back and activated the rift and been killed due to the animation.
I also noticed you removed the drop ability that you showed off. It seems to have been replaced with a glide? In the reveal you showed the warlock dropping down. You pressed and held the crouch key to activate the ward of dawn animation and crashed to the ground. Now, I just seem to glide a little. Maybe it's because I use Blink for my jump, but I was let down a little by this.
Now that I mention it: Blink. I like it. Still not a fan of the radar going away, but Blink feels good.
The Novabomb, though... I use Lance; I love the speed. The new super feels slow. Sluggish almost. Having it burst in to a scatter grenade is cool. It feels effective. However, I think you could slim it down and speed it up.
Ultimately I want to see fully customizable subclasses, like in D1. I think locked subclasses like we have in the Beta works well for a Beta, but not for release. I feel you're making a huge mistake with this one.
I do look forward to the full release of this game and hope you make improvements based on some of the other feedback I have been seeing.
