Played Dawnblade for a couple hours, have some first impressions I'd like to jot down, and some suggestions.
1) Winged Sun wants to incentivize combat while flying, but weapon accuracy while gliding (even when ADS) seems very poor. Probably should also give at least a small buff to accuracy while flying.
2) Due to #1, Heat Rises seems like a wasted perk slot because it's so hard to actually hit enemies in the air. I didn't notice a significant boost to my grenade/melee when I did manage to get a kill, which really makes me not want to fly around.
Outside the super, the spec just feels like a weaker version of Voidwalker. Weaker grenades since they can't be charged (this mechanic is really cool imo), wasted perk slot since I can't readily kill enemies while gliding. The super is really fun and feels great, but that and air dodge just don't seem strong enough to make this worth using compared to voidwalker right now.

The super runs out too quick, there's no way it drains the same as poledancer and captain america, it's bullshit.

It's really under powered and you need to throw two projectiles at an enemy to kill them, at least in my experience. I want self res back

Edited by Rob: 7/21/2017 8:39:41 AMI completely agree, the timer is very short and the projectile speed and raduis is terrible. I thrown the projectile at someone feet(inch away in damage)
-
It runs out way too fast!

Warlock abilities are just bad right now mostly. The charge grenade on voidwalker is a cool effect I agree but nothing has any kill potential really

Dawnblade is trash compared to Sunsinger.
-
I just wanted to say as a 3 year D1 Warlock who mained Sunsinger, that Dawnblade is a dam joke. Seriously it is terrible. Long live Sunsinger !!!!!!!!!!!

I found it didn't last very long at all, which was disappointing. I imagine that will be different in the game, but that's how it's feeling now.

Edited by moikee7: 7/20/2017 1:38:13 PMI agree mostly. I am not a huge fan of the Dawn blade super as of yet. I cannot seem to get a handle on it yet by soaring in the air and raining swords at the enemy. It is a cool concept. I hope the second skill tree is better. Maybe the swords could fly faster toward the enemy or have seeking on to find the enemy like titan hammers use to have. I do enjoy the subclass though. Fire bolt gernade is pretty good again. You can get an opponent's shield down and clean them up after or before. Holding your position in the air while aiming down sights really throughs people off and they don't think to look up, by the time they do I would have killed them. And the icarus dodge was what the Warlock has been waiting for. Warlocks have not had an evasive move in D1 ever. Now I can twilight like a titan use to. I can rain down fire, shoot in the air and dodge away. Just need refining with the super ability.

Its year one exotic arch sword just solar. Piss poor one at that.

Pretty much spot on.

Seems correct

Bump. Completely agree.
