Accessibility Request: PLEASE include Auto-Sprint for physically impaired Guardians in Destiny 2

I was going to make a case for full button remapping support on console just like on PC, but I realized that Auto-Sprint would solve my biggest problem. Due to a muscular disease I lack the strength to press the thumbsticks. I currently use the PS4's button remapping feature to map circle to L3 so that I can sprint. Unfortunately this leaves me at a severe disadvantage since I can't slide, crouch, shadestep, Twilight Garrison, teabag, etc. using circle (I have circle remapped to D-down, but pressing it requires you take your finger off of the left thumbstick—yes it's a mess). I've tried a SCUF but this didn't help me. Bungie, can you add an Auto-Sprint option to D2, pretty please? Either that or double-tap forward to Sprint? I think this is a feature that even healthy Guardians would appreciate. (There wasn't an appropriate subcategory for this feedback)

  • Only helps if they get rid of the bullshit invisible sprint cooldown timer.

Bumping this because accessibility can completely change a game. Remember when I first discovered "Colorblind Mode." Hope you get those changes!

    • Hey.. I agree.. Question tho.. u tried mapping sprint to paddles? I ask cuz I use a Collective Minds strike pack (attaches to new ds4, has to b corded tho thru usb, not Bluetooth) It's the way more affordable, better quality, interchangeable add on that gives u 2 paddles). Can absolutely b mapped to sprint if paddles r at all helpful for u. They r better placed than scuff also. More natural on inside where hands grip controller. I hope that can help u in meantime. My hands act up a lot, 1 worse than the other (actually 1 whole side of my upper body can get quite aggravated). I got strike pk hoping to have the most used functions more accessible but I do still have issues where I'm just too uncomfortable to play unfortunately. Strike packs r inexpensive if u do want to try 1. Amazon & gamestop sell but usually sell fast & go on back order. I do wish they'd find a way to make a 4 paddle 1 but 2 is great for now. Look them up on YouTube I'd u get a chance . Sorry I don't have a link at the moment. I wish I knew the company name that makes controllers for disabled. They were featured in game informer a good while back. Super nice ppl. I wish u the best. I understand the frustration of not being able to play when u want to due to disability or pain.

      • Agreed, while i am blessed not to be disabled, my wife and some of my clan members are. There are huge numbers of disabled and even retired people that have discovered gaming as a great time killer, but even more a social outlet. People have no clue, unless they know someone afflicted with physical limitations, how enriching it can be to partake in activities that we take for granted. You might label them shut-ins or cripples, but try to imagine being wracked with excruciating pain 24-7, or not being able (as OP describes) to depress the L3/R3 button due to your limitations. Giving them the ability to fully participate, does more than allow them to play a "kids game" it opens many new doors that lead to confidence, less social anxiety, happier disposition and more. Anything Bungie, or any other company for that matter, could do to make their games as accessible to the physically challenged should be done. Dexwell- I hope they grant your wish!
