Kinderguardians: Raiding the Vault of Glass-Part 5 and 2/3rds
All characters relating to any of BraveCole's stories are the property of BraveCole. BraveCole can shut down this project at anytime. This is the update of Chapter 5, as I have noticed didn't get as much praise as the other chapters. Let's fix that, shall we?
From the eyes of RJ, older brother of Marshall, whom he has currently been teleported to a place beyond the stars, in where a prisoner is held. I am RJ. Apparently, I was killed, judging by the saddened look by my friends, by my allied, and last of all, my teacher. I was taken to a place where nothing but Light is present, before I could have said a word. Suddenly, I notice a man. The Light is repelled by him, yet surrounding him, as if recognizing the man himself. "Hello?" I stepped forward. The man looks up, then looks back to me. In his hands, as curious as it could be, was a bony gun, as if he had crafted it himself. He stood up. And he pointed the gun at me. "Woah! Is that gun a toy? If ya wanna shoot that, you're gonna need a buff!" I was naive. The man shot the gun without hesitation. The bullet stuck in my side, slowly spreading the pain all over my body. Screams echoed in my head. Dawn is crying, BraveCole is fighting desperately to keep his job, and Ventis... He's killing himself. Not in the name of Toland, the Scattered, not as a religious practice. Ventis is killing himself, for the sake that this world isn't fair. His gun matched the man. I faced the man, and told him to go screw himself. He shot again. Whatever. Reality needed a nerf anyways. RJ falls onto the floor, poisoned by the pain. The man goes over to RJ's body, and kicked him to the side. RJ throws up. As the man bends down, the smoking gun reveals its jagged edge, its twisted, malevolent form. Its jagged purpose. Urrgh. I got up. Geez, this was not how I wanted to wake up. Oh great, this man again. Except, he's facing me. Oh yeah, quick note to tell you guys. I never actually, err, got to see this man's face. The man was bulky in size, like a Titan. If a Titan loved cloaks as much as Dawn and looked equally sadistic. He was staring me down as if I was his next prey, his gun at the ready. I didn't bother to draw mine. Nor did I want to die. "The Vault is a dangerous place, kid. Guardians die here every week, days even. I sit here, waiting for the time to surface." I retorted. This guy seemed like a threat. Seems obvious when a dude shoots you and he doesn't even apologize. "So why did you shoot me with that OP-as- heck gun? You seemed satisfied enough." "Who said I was satisfied?" "I'm sorry man, or woman, if you just naturally have a deep voiceover, but that look on your face told me everything about you." The man smiled. That was a tiny-as-heck smile, but it didn't change the meaning of his mood; if anything, it strengthened the mood. "So you know everything. I can sense your lies." I stood up. Hand on my weapon, I was ready to defend myself. But my weapon passed through my hand. Immense pain followed suit. My hand burned and ached, spasms trickling across on my hand, spreading to my arm. I screamed, and fell to the floor once again. "You know, I had been dead for a long time. My reign of terror put fear into the Last City. Until, one fateful day, when the spared tracked the hunter, and ensnared the predator." "That golden gun would always haunt my mind. I never cared less about the lives I take, especially not yours. But I need a ride back home, a ride back to the Light." I managed to open my mouth, but no words came out. I had no idea who the hell was this jerk, but his gun should have gotten a nerf. "Oh, this? This lil' beauty of mine will never get nerfed. That's the true beauty-" He leaned down, and shot, right into my chest. "-of a Weapon of Sorrow. A blade that never dulls, a weapon that fires true... Thorns that always kill." I fell asleep again. Bastard. I missed Dawn. I missed Ventis. I missed Becky. I missed BraveCole. Most of all, I missed Marshall. I wonder how he'd take it, to he'd learn that I'd died twice. I don't want him to be sad. Twenty minutes later, I stood up. I was still in this damn white void, not knowing what to do. I don't want to be here! "So, have you heard the prophecy?" I turned around. Sure enough, he was there, with a replica of Ventis's head spinning on his hand. That made me sick inside. Seriously, give me a minute, I might actually puke. ~ "No." I replied, telling the truth this time. I didn't want to die three times. Although, on the contrary, doing something three times is considered lucky. Buff those chances, Bungo. The man still hit me, though not as hard. He called me an idiot as well, then, after dropping me to the ground, declared he had a prophecy for me. That the prophecy given to my friends was a code. "Listen closely, boy." "Uh-huh. I'm all ears." "Ahem. A true word spoken free A man not meant to be A boy yet living The friends be grieving. Possessing the unknown With a body of loan Dredgen Yor shall return." "Umm... dude? That last part didn't rhyme." I half expected him to shoot me. That seemed to calm him down. The shooting, I mean. Not the prophecy giving stuff. He put away his gun. Interestingly enough, he lay on the floor, and slept. Wow, guess I'm alone now. I wish Ventis was here, with his Toland obsession. I wish Dawn was here, to comfort me. I wish the Professor was here, to save me. I wish my brother was here, so I can comfort him. I wish I existed again.
