Other than no real storage for weapons and armor, other than inventory space, no power wheel, and absolutely horrendous character creator I thought it was fine.
Very slow to start. Ridiculously slow. Mass Effect is my favorite series, but I actually got bored of MEA right after the first main planet. Planning to go back, but I don't have a lot of free time and MEA is 90% travel and dialogue and 10% action.

Edited by SSgt Carmine: 5/8/2017 1:52:54 AMWhy does everyone hate the character creator? It's exactly the same as the others. That said I agree about the inventory space. Seems pretty stupid to have limited inventory when you can't access it without a terminal anyways. Actually didn't notice the power wheel thing until I started ME2 again a couple days ago. Also yeah the first planet ramped up this epic survival feeling almost, but it kinda just felt boring after that. Like nothing was really at stake. They didn't convey the desperation well at all after Habitat 7. Felt too easy.

The character creator is definitely not the same as the others. It's similar, but in MEA the preset appearances are way too dominant. There's no way to really make a truly unique and decent looking Ryder. They all end up just looking like their presets. Also, the hair and facial hair options are PS2 era graphics tier. They just look like wigs and glued on beards, which they did in previous ME's, but as the first "next" gen ME Bioware should have tried harder. It's sad because the DAI character creator was phenomenal.

Also did it bother you that you couldn't change the ears? Drove me nuts. Unless just missed the setting for it.

Seems like a lot of the settings were "streamlined" so you could really only change like nose and mouth size, but you couldn't change the look of the nose or eye size. Just a 100% shit CC.

Ah yeah true. Like I tried giving Ryder a beard but it didn't even match his hair. Like you said just looked like it was glued on. Wish they'd have better hair options too. They weren't terrible but there's not a lot of variety. It's just variations of homeless guy or trendy douchebag with a couple random ones thrown in to even it out.
