If its not here comment what, theres only 7 options so not much space.
My favorites are stuff beat focused, so stuff like electro, some rock/metal, some edm (electronic dance music) when gaming. Not a big fan of hip hop, the new trash ruined it for me, and never really got into rap. Vocals are usually a turnoff when listening, but some are great (celldweller oddly enough, Lindsay Sterling, and usually the really good voices).
As far as bands go i have a few favorites there, artists like:
Daft punk
Celldweller (their more instrumental stuff)
Deadmau5
Knife party
Monstercat
Quemists (idk exact spelling)
And some others i cant quite remember, and video game soundtracks, those are usually amazing.

Various types of dance music, hip hop, soul/neo-soul, some RnB and some older rock (mainly just Steely Dan, Creedence and Joy Division though). I mostly listen to dance and hip hop though.
