Trials players in Raids

Just throwing this out there; if you come into a raid, and you're an avid trials player, it's probably a good idea to not bring your sweaty, shitty attitude with you. Leave that in your 3v3 mode because no one wants to hear your bitching. Especially when you're not actually helping, and in fact are making life harder for everyone. No one gives a damn about your K/D, your ELO, or how many times you went flawless. If you're not there to help and be of any real use, stay in the Crucible section of the directorate and leave us "low light casuals" to enjoy our gaming experience. Edit: Before anyone checks stats, the very assholes I'm posting about are the reason I don't do Raids. I play them to get the experience, but it's just not worth the salt to have to see one or two people ruin it by being a douche. Edit 2: Honestly, I was pissed at one dude, and I shouldn't have lumped PvP guys together. But as I've had people here say, there is no reason to act like a dick to people. I've ran the raid a few times, but I don't deal with bullshit from people that are at least 15+ years younger than me. I'm sure we've all dealt with assholes, and all I wanted to do was vent as I'm sure many of you have. Those that came here to publish K/D, raid #'s, you're what's wrong with not only this community, but gaming in general. If you're just roasting, by all means do so, but when you publish someone else's stats in ridicule, you're officially a sweaty douche.

Had someone join my raid and tell me my gamertag was a waste of a gamertag because I dont play trials. Then you have the ones that are judging everyone and talking about elo and im like what does any of this have to do with the raid. Only thing you should be saying is empowerments, servitors and last siva charge.

      • wait what? how are people claiming your lumping PvP guys together? your post is directed at ONE type of person. not the whole of PvP. it said "if you come into a raid, and you're an avid trials player," not "When You PvP guys come into a Raid" i do hate it when those kind of people act like that. not only in trials but the entire game. even a story mission man. a -blam!-ing story mission. i do tend to see its the majority of Trials players who have those sort of attitudes.

      • I doubt many avid trials player will be doing raids unless there is a gun or armor piece that is going to make them more powerful in trials. I certainly dont plan on doing them.

      • I'm an avid trials player. I also used to raid, I did raids a lot. Around 300 completions or so total. Me playing trials has nothing to do with me raiding. You are generalizing an entire group of people. Also, I don't know how age is relevant either. I'm also not quite sure how ones ELO (which is a third party stat btw) is relevant for a raid. So what if someone younger than you gives you a bit of a hard time. Nobody joins an raid to be stuck in it for hours. There's nothing wrong with failing a few times and I have no problem explaining mechanics or putting the lower light / less experienced guy with me. Their does however come a point when we have been at a checkpoint for a long period of time and someone keeps messing up, they going to catch some flak from me.

The chat can be anything from Rated G to a hard R-XXX and that is fine too. I don't care if you've beaten the raid 1 time or 1,000 times. You are welcome on the team. I don't care if you're a man, woman, kid, gay, bi, trans, furry, MLP fan, or anything else from A-Z. You are welcome on the team. Constructive criticism is always welcome. If you notice someone on the team is having a hard time, offer to switch positions with them, help them out whatever way you can. We were all noobs once and we've all had bad days when it feels we can't do anything right. The only thing I do not tolerate is when someone is going out of their way to shit talk and belittle someone to the point it's just cruel and ridiculous. Sure, if you're in a raid with all your friends, shit talk each other until the world blows up, but when you are in an LFG group, be respectful to your fellow Guardians. If you wanna shit talk people that badly, go play CoD.

Completely agree. I once joined a raid where everyone was just being dickish and yelling at me to do things. After we got to the seige engine I asked where everyone was (they were not playing) and I got kicked. Soon after I received a message that said, "We finished the raid 234 in the world and don't need your dumbass." Buuuuttttt I can't say that you post is entirely true. Although I hated that experience I play pvp a lot. I'm pretty good at the game (not a god but I've played a lot of fps) and I have a lot of crucible friends. One of which is a 2.3 KD and a 2100 Elo. He is super fun to play with and always really funny/encouraging. We raid often and he sometimes gets some other crucible people in and we have a blast. So what I'm trying to say is yes there are assholes out there but often don't judge a book by its cover. I don't like sweaty people but often times their stats don't really say who they are. Anyways I'm sorry you had to experience some shitty fire teams but don't give up on all crucible people because often they are very fun! P.S. if you wanna raid I'm on Xbox with the gamer tag DrQuaxx. I love raiding and meeting new people! -DrQuaxx

            • For the amount of raids you've completed I'm surprised you feel strong enough about the topic to create a post. It really isn't that bad. I've raided with a lot of trials players.

            • People shouldn't care this much about your opinion to the extent some of the negative comments are directed. I mean I hear you. But I don't overly care. Your entitled to speak your mind. People are entitled to disagree. Potato patato. Best of luck going forward!

            • The simplest way to avoid such salt in the future is to find a regular set of people to do raids with. I have at least 12 people on my friends list that I do the raid with at least 4-6 times a week (different raids mind you, not all the same raids). It's much more relaxing when you're running the raid with the same people and you know each enough to put up with each other's BS or jokes. In spite of this advice from me, I understand that it may be difficult to find enough people to always raid every week with. But they're out there.

            • I have a friend who does trials almost every time he's online. But when I asked for help with the raid, he helped gladly and showed me how to do it. He's a nice guy.
