I don't like to say it but I think you may have missed the point. To me the character should never have said anything, it's part of Destiny's problem, you are the character, the story which so many seemed to have missed in destiny, is your story, how you became legend. The grimoire and lore is exactly what it should be, an accessory, a history, to your story, how the world ended up in the state it is in before your story starts.
I think they nailed it, I just think people lack the intelligence to realise it.

The fact you are bring intelligence to try and make yourself sound better than everyone else tells me you have none No voice breaks immersion or any dialogue option takes away the impact of the story like when your ghost falls off the tower and he tries to reach for it and says nothing his home his friends are all being destroyed and not a single word is said even the movement and actions they make look like they should have sound don’t bring intelligence into this you pretentious idiot you are clearly a moron

Err you're nine months late, this post was about d1. In regards to that scene in d2 though, you're 100% right, but a good writer wouldn't have written the scene that way when dealing with a silent protagonist. Just one more reason I stopped playing.

Yeah I was just in subject and it’s really annoying me now and exactly they really could have written things better I just hate the fact ghost is pretty much the protagonist when you should be and the in game story is so lacking it’s really disappointing because the actual lore behind everything is pretty in depth and interesting the game could be sooo much more than it is and make it a true legend of a game series but the people working on the game seem to be complete -blam!-ing idiots (sorry but of a rant there)

Nobody is unique in this game fam. There's like, 10 preset faces. I've even seen carbon copies of my guardian in the tower. The division had this same problem and it made my agent seem so awkward. At least Ubisoft tried to make it feel like yourself there that whenever you use a mic, your players mouth moves as if they're talking. But nah, guardians aren't unique one bit. They need voices. Ghost doesn't fight my battles for me, and I'd like the vanguard to talk to me as opposed to a floating little robot that thinks he knows me

I'm not related to you, am I?

I don't like silent protags especially in a game where we see our face doom guy never says a word but his interactions with the world let us know that yes he isn't self insert guy he has some character. Our guardians are the equivalent short bus children.

Everybody's story is identical. Everybody's guardian has done the exact same thing. There is no unique legend to be made. Bungie failed in their attempt to allow the player to make their own legend. The games story was generic and linear.
