-blam!-ing Kinderguardians- How To Be A Storm-Baller (Part 1)

"Do you see a jar of peanut butter over there near you?" BraveCole asked. "Uhm.. I do not, Professor." Ventis responded. "Are you sure? Check under your seat." Ventis then casually looks under his seat, moving his hand around until he grasped an object. "Wait.. I think.. This certainly feels like a jar." Ventis then pulled the object out in plain sight. "Aha! There it is. Gimme." BraveCole said, as Ventis handed him the jar of Peanut butter. BraveCole and Ventis were in a ship, as they flew on a path that would lead them into the upper atmostphere of Mars. BraveCole laid his seat back, and kicked his boots up onto the Ship's dashboard. "Becky, auto-pilot, please." BraveCole said to his Ghost. "Sure thing, hon." Becky said, materializing into the Ship's controls. A few seconds later, her voice began to broadcast throughout the Ship. "Auto-pilot, engaged. Coordinates still set for Mars, Meridian Bay. You should reach the destination in about fifteen minutes." "Thanks, Becky." BraveCole said, twisting open his jar of peanut butter and digging into it with a spoon. He laid back, getting more relaxed as he began eating spoonfuls of the gooey treat. "Mmm, good stuff. Want some? I gotta extra spoon." BraveCole said, gesturing to Ventis. "I'm fine, thank you, Professor." "Hm. Suit yourself. Mmm.." BraveCole took another spoonful. "I bet you're wondering where I'm taking you." "Very much so, Professor." Ventis said, relieved that his answers would finally get answered. "You literally told me to get in the ship and be quiet until we broke orbit." "There's a reason for that. You see.. You're very young. And I didn't want people to think tha-" "You're kidnapping children to build a slave army?" Ventis interrupted, somewhat excitedly. "What? No. Why would you.. nevermind. I forgot I'm talking to Toland's biggest fanboy. You're young, for a Warlock. I wanted to teach you the ways of Arc light, but Ikora would disagree. She'd probably say something like 'your mind hasn't ascended' or 'he must first tame the darkness before strengthing the light' or some other space magic bullshi-" BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! "Incoming Transmission from.. Ikora Rey." Becky's voice announced. "Shit, Ventis! Under the dashboard! Quick!" BraveCole said, fumbling with his jar of peanut butter as he ushered Ventis out of sight. "Professor, I'm very confused!" Ventis said, hidden from view. "I'll explain in a minute. Keep quiet, and Becky, answer the call." "Right away, dear." Becky said, allowing the transmission to appear on the screen of this ship. It was Ikora Rey herself. "Heyyyyy! What's going on Rey-Rey!" BraveCole greeted, laughing nervously. "I told you not to call me that, Brave." Ikora said, plainly. "Right, right, sorry. Uhm.. How can I assist you today, Ms.Rey?" "I'm glad you asked. You can start by turning your ship around and bringing that Warlock back to the tower." BraveCole laughed, nervousness still in his tone. "W-Warlock..? What Warlock are you talking abo-" "Enough of the formalities, Brave. I can sense a young light among your ship. You are not authorized to take this guardian to Mars during an arc storm, he simply isn't ready to embrace that type of power." Ikora Rey told. "Ikora, look. I understand your concern for the young one but he has potential! He's one of my star pupils! He's more than ready, and I'll be there to assist and make sure he's well protected while he soaks up all that arc goodness." BraveCole smiled. "Not only are you going against my wishes that demands that the Warlock needs more time to mature, you're also interfering with the Storm Caller Ritual. It is supposed to be done alone." Ikora Rey said more sternly. "Well, I guess that the ritual will have to be a little different today, huh Ikora? Trust me, this guy's gonna be a arc-machine when I'm done with him. I'll tell ya how it goes. Ciao." BraveCole waved. "BraveCole, do not shut down my transmi-" TRANSMISSION END "You can come out now." BraveCole said, as Ventis crawled up into his seat. "What does Ms.Ikora mean, Professor? Am.. I not supposed to learn?" Ventis asked. "No. Not yet, at least. Technically, your light is still new, so reacting to a new form of light this early could yield harmful effects for you. Especially if you're conducting a storm caller ritual. Which is exactly what we're going to do." Ventis looks confused. "But.. are you sure I'm ready? I mean.. Ikora Rey did say that it's best if I-" "Ventis. Pal. I wouldn't bring you out here if I didn't think you could do it. You're a Warlock, your mind as expansive as the universe itself. You may be young, but your light is strong. I believe in you." BraveCole said. "I.. I hope you're right, Professor!" "I'm always right, 27% of the time. Now, pass me my jar of peanut butter, I dropped it during that transmission." BraveCole's ship flew throughout the upper atmosphere of Mars, the ship coming in contact with a very violent arc storm. It began to rattle and shake as the two guardians could hear the constant cracks of lightning and thunder. "Hear all that outside? That's gonna be inside of you soon." BraveCole whispered. Ventis gulped. "I.. need an adult." "I am an adult." "BraveCole, the Ship's hull can't take much more of this. We need to prepare an emergency landing, or else the Storm will rip the ship apart." Becky warned. "Becky! Shame on you! You helped me build this ship, you know that this ole girl can take much more than a silly-ass arc storm. We don't need no emergency lan-" KA-DOOOOOM!!! A massive bolt of lightning, struck the ship, causing one of the wings to be damaged, and the engines to immediately fail. The guardians inside were rattled around, along with everything else in the ship. "OH SHIT! BECKY! EMERGENCY LANDING! EMERGENCY LANDING!" BraveCole shouted. "Brave, I can't! That thunderbolt hit the circuitry pretty hard, I've lost all control!" Becky retorted. "-blam!-! Switch to manual! I'll land it myself!" BraveCole said, as Becky materialized out of the ship. "Switching to manual! Brave, I hope you know what you're doing!" "Professor!" Ventis yelled. "Hold on, kid!" BraveCole took control of the Ship, trying to steer it. It did very little, the ship was still falling into a nose dive toward the surface. "Arrrghhh! Come on, girl! I know you still got some fight in ya! Come.. on..!" BraveCole struggled. As he did, he looked at Ventis, and then to Becky. He nodded. -continued in comments.
https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/222018763/0/0/1
• Becky flew near Ventis. "Hold on, sweetie." She said to him, as she materialized herself and Ventis out of the ship. Ventis landed in solid ground with a thud. He slowly got up, and saw Becky was with him. "Are you okay, little one?" Becky spoke, concern in her voice. "Yes.. I'm fine, thank you.. But.." Ventis looked around. The arc storm was still very prevalent throughout the dark skies, and he looked around at his surroundings. It looked to be an old research facility. "What is this place?" "This is an old Golden age research facility.. Stormcallers come here to conduct the ritual, since there always seems to be a great concentration of Arc energy and light here." Becky explained. Before Ventis could answer, he saw the Ship, burning ablaze, come flying in from the sky and crashing, causing an explosion. "Oh no! Professor BraveCole!" Ventis said, running up to the wreckage. Becky flew after him. "Be careful, sweetheart!" Ventis jumped on top of the burning wreckage, looking high and low to try and find the remains of BraveCole. "Professor!? Are you okay!? Are you alive!?" Ventis shouted. "Y-Yeah.. urgh.. I'm down here.. ugh.." Ventis turned around and saw BraveCole, hunched up against a wall, impaled with a large metal pole. "P-Professor! You're hurt!" Ventis ran down to the Professor and got close, trying to help. BraveCole coughed. "L-Listen.. k-kid.. urgh.. I.. don't know how much.. l-longer I have.. but.. You must continue on.. w-without me.. I'm bleeding out.. it.. may be too late for me.." "But.. Professor.." "I know.. Just.. remember everything.. I.. t-taught you.. I.. believe in you, Ventis.. I.. believe.. urgh.." BraveCole went silent, his head slumping down and his eyes closing. His presence became cold. "No.. No.. Not like this..." Ventis said, tearing up. All of a sudden, BraveCole jumped back to life. "Naaah, I'm just -blam!-ing around. Becky, stand by for revive." "Standing by, darling." "W-What!? I thought.. sigh. I forgot. We're guardians." Ventis said, feeling a bit dumb. "Yeah. This happens on the regular. This pipe is piercing every one of my vital organs, I'm surprised I wasn't dead on impact. Hey, it gave me the opportunity to mess with you though. 'Oh, Professor! Who's gonna teach me how to floof, now?' Hahaha! Shoulda seen your face." BraveCole mocked. "Very funny, Professor." Ventis rolled his eyes. "Hm. Not dead ye- ohhh, there we go." BraveCole said, as he went silent. Becky then resurrected BraveCole, good as new. "Ahhh! Thanks, Becky. Now.. Ventis." BraveCole gestured to the facilty, as they saw bolts of Arc erupt around it and fill the dark skies of Mars. "Let's get to work."
