What are your thoughts on the Hungering Blade nerf
I didn't really see the reason for this. Bladedancer already suffers the problem of being a melee based roaming super, requiring you to be up in your opponents face. Hungering blade was the only thing that helped the super be use-able. Bladedancer was supposed to be an offensive crowd control super but I guess you'll have to settle for a group of two or so at most.
I'm not too salty about this seeing as I use gunslinger but I still wanted to see Bladedancer get a buff so it can be used more often (I wouldn't have minded a skip grenade nerf). Pretty damn disappointed.

2 RepliesWhat I do not get is that nobody discusses he implications for the neutral game. Hungering Blade also regens your health on a kill with your charged melee, same as the striker - except now it does not. And this has huge implications outside of your super (in PVP and PVE). It is just stupid.

No opinion since I never used that perk on bladedancer. I always used Encore.

Anyone saying "You need to adapt" needs to think about that staement. Not being able to adapt is why the nerfs are happening. Ironic to say that when it was usually people who couldn't or chose not to that started this mess lol.

Shotgun or shotgun+melee was the best way to counter a blade, besides team shooting. Now that they're nerfing shotguns and taking away shotgun crit shots, they nerfed hungering blade to balance it out with the shotgun nerf. (They probably thought that the shotgun nerf would made bladedancers unstoppable with hungering blade) Do I agree with it? no. I would say that in a few weeks, if you go on guardian.gg bladedancers will be the least used subclass probably. Guess we'll soon find out. Sucks, but what can you do.

They nerfed the blade dancer in answer to the removal of headshot damage from shotguns. For the longest time other than a super, the only way to shut down a blade dancer was a shotgun. I saw a good blade dancer work his way through an entire team of shotgun spammers and came out with full health and shields. Now remove the precision dmg from shotguns and watch the blade dancer become more OP than the Original Setup for Sunbro Titans.

Arc Blade is already the worst super next to Radiance... I can see that in average-level play, Arc Blade is still powerful. But in any kind of higher level play, it's literally garbage. It's a miracle if you don't trade. Although the fact that precision damage on shotties isn't a thing anymore, it'll be slightly harder to baby supers.? Neutral game is great on Blade. But the super is trash. Nerf is way uncalled for, really a shame they did it. Nightstalker is the only truly [b]strong[/b] Hunter subclass now .. just like if they hit the melee on Storm too hard, Void will be the only truly [b]strong[/b] Warlock subclass. We'll see how it all plays out...hopefully better than expected. But I personally feel things are about to get a lot more bland...& slower.

1 ReplyIm a blade main. I get sniped and snipe blades all the time. I get shotgunned, primaried, and teamshotted. Hungering blade was bad enough. I doubt it'll be much worse.

I main a sunbreaker in pvp and I think it's pretty dumb. They should have put a cool down on the perk like there is on cauterize rather than nerf ingredients it into the ground
