New Guardians Inbound!
Hey everyone!
Today is the day, just like every year before, that a lot of "Little Lights" will be joining our ranks, both on B.net and out on the Frontier. Do what you can to welcome them. Teach them the right ways to fire a Golden Gun or unleash a Nova Bomb. There will be a bunch of them out there, so give them a hand!
It wasn't all that long ago that you or I were new to Destiny. If you started in the Alpha/Beta, in Year One, Year Two, or Year Three, it doesn't make a difference. You're a Guardian. You're one of us. Help those who are just discovering their Light so that they, too, can fight against the Darkness.

I've been playing since jump street and yesterday I seen one of these new guardians (actually I seen a lot, they are easy to spot) I sent him/her a message saying welcom to destiny. They sent a message back saying thanks. It's kind of cool because we all know well that this game takes a lot out of you.

3 RepliesOh I know the right way to "unleash a nova bomb"... you get as close to a door frame as possible while staring down a guaranteed space magic award and blast that nova bomb right at them. Don't hold back! You fire it right at them! Then watch as your warlock rises up in magical fury and hits that doorframe full force and kills you, but not them. That's how to properly unleash a nova bomb.

If I were starting today I would probably skip the main story , use my spark of light on a hunter 🤗 and run through the rise of iron to get my light up. Do a little research on how to level effectively and be aware what good rolls are. Welcome little lights. So much for you to experience, have fun.

I'd imagine that at this point, there isn't going to be a huge influx of players. The people that have stuck it out are the ones playing, and the others are waiting for Destiny 2.

Get to level 28 as soon as possible. You can then run prison of elders for year 1 legendary (plus you get 1 year one exotic per character). Game is much easier from that point on. Save your legendary marks for a ghost first. As soon as you can start using gunsmith test weapons level up so you can puchase arms day packages. Easy way to get a level 40 legendary without legendary marks.

I recommend using a shotgun to have any type of success whatsoever also if you want a good sniper Matador 64 is the best in class

6 Replies1) Grind the Crucible between pve missions. Yes, you're likely to immensely suffer, but it's a great lvl booster. 2) Avoid this forum and the salt that oozes from it. While most of it is valid, it can demoralize you to the point of missing out the good things this game has. 3) Go to the Forgotten Shore. Hug the right cliff face until you meet a special Vandal we like to call Randal. You'll like him.

We all hate each other & thats fact,most people will only group if its absolutly nessasary for raids & such outside of that everybody is a wanker & you all know Im right you all think the same way & dont try saying you dont. Day 1 player & Ive met 4 people in all that time that I didnt instantly hate after 3 words came out their face hole. Maybe thats because Im in UK & mostly play times the US are on & we all know that american egos dont get along with well others.

My recommendation: try everything. Don't limit yourself to one weapon type, Class, or Subclass Each person plays differently, so the Subclass you believe is best may not actually be your true calling, and the same goes with Class. I was lucky enough to make my first Destiny file on the Class that I use best, the Titan, but I made files for both other Classes and hav come to love them all. I don't stick to just one Subclass, and that's mainly because different ones are better for different situations or to use against different players. In PvP my Subclass changes depending on what style I need to play with, and in PvE sometimes one Super will be needed more than another When I first started playing, I ONLY used scout rifles, but I eventually realized they aren't the best weapon for PvP (on most occasions) and that they don't hold well against Thrall when they get too close. I've found that now I actually use the scout rifle less often than the others because I usually only need it for specific situations, but I am still good with it. Of course, now I'm also good with all the other weapons. Weapon mastery is also necessary for style change in both PvP and PvE To all those new Guardians out there: welcome back from the grave, and may the Light guide your footsteps through the dark. Saw a level 8 newbie in the Tower a few days ago. I sent the message: "Run from this game while you still can. Only sadness and disappointment await. Good luck ;)" They replied with: "Lol thnx" God bless their soul. They have no idea what they are getting into.

You're going to meet some pretty toxic players in Trials and/or the raid. If you're doing you're job, don't take the hate personally.

Send a message to high level players in the tower and ask if they want to do the refer a friend quest. Great way to make a friend, and you can both enjoy some fun cosmetic loot. Make sure to do it in the first week you have the game!

One thing I'd recommend is to play this game casually. And when you've done most of everything you can, start doing things that challenge your skill, either PvP or PvE. When I had done King's Fall and nothing really was left to do except PvP, I three-manned Crota's End. Then, I two-manned it, then, I soloed it in 12 minutes

Tips don't do what i did when I switched from ps3 to xbone. Complete the story THEN use the spark of light. Not the other way because the story is fun
