"Hebridean thoughtcrime" what does it actually mean ?

After almost a year and a half of intense grinding , I finally got one of the very few reamaining ships which I don't have , the iron banner "Hebridean thoughtcrime" and , as we all know , all ships (all items in fact) in destiny have some meaning attached to their name and description . Some are mean puns , others are more metaphoric , poetic or esoteric . I've managed to decipher most of them , but I simply cannot understand what this on means . Is it a reference to a movie or a book ? Some pun that escaped my attention ? FYI the description reads "what were you thinking ?" • Has to be a reference to something specific, unless some yahoo at Bungie just thought the word was cool. I looked for a reference in old and new Scottish literature, and couldn't find anything. Wondered the same thing about this one, at least a few times.
