Bungie, can you just buy Halo back?
Have you seen what 343 is doing?? How can someone call that a proper halo game? The campaigns are worse then Halo 3 ODST firefight! And don't even get me started on balance and weapon design... They took the military aspect of that game and THREW IT OUT A WINDOW!!!! They took how realistic is kinda seemed and just made it into a kids game. They made elites clunky, uncoordinated, and slow, when they shouldn't be. Like when Osiris killed Jul 'Mdama, they killed his ELITE GUARD and him without losing their energy shields. All we fight now are emotionless machines that just randomly -blam!-ing teleport from God knows where, and they never run out! EVER! Where do they make this stuff!? And Cortana is the bad guy... Humanity's savior... Humanity's last hope, is now evil... Like... wtf? That's the plot of a really bad movie...
Do us all a favor and go back to halo please. I want to like halo still but I can't. It's just so bad...

42 Repliesremember reach? when the elites (atleast the higher ranked ones like zealots where on equal terms with the average spartan? that's what i like, when you have an enemy you can fight on equal terms instead of the cannon fodder or bullet sponges we have now. haven't you ever noticed that each KIA spartan (not self sacrifice) has been killed by a zealot in halo reach? Kat, Emile and Six were all dealt the final blow by zealots, giving us an enemy that we can actually fear. now its just the idiotic teleporting robots, i don't even know how they can walk, look at their arms and legs compared to their head/torso ok, I'm sorry for the rant, but halo these days just seems too fictional and less science, and the story line just seems idiotic "oh hey, these genocidal aliens who have been known to have suicide bombers have put nukes on our ship, oh yeah, they put a timer on them but they never detonate, so you have as much time as you need to go in, guns blazing taking 5 minutes to kill them all and they won't even activate the nukes good luck" -_-

Halo 4 was one of the reasons I jumped ship to PS4. I was ok but not as good as Bungie's Halo.

1 ReplyI liked back when the AI actualy flinched when you shot them and were overall smarter and less scripted than they are now. One of the first things I thought about Halo 5's campaign was "are my bullets even hitting these guys or do they just lack the animations to acknowledge that I am shooting them?

2 RepliesI hated how the made the Hunters basically gods. Halo 3 Hunters were my favorite. They could kick ass but they didnt have the health of Superman like Halo 5's does.

The whole reason BR starts even came to be was due to the bad sand box, dual weilding breaking single weilding, and the shitty slayer starts. You practically [i]had[/i] to have a BR. Bungie is [i]still[/i] bad at balancing their games. I left destiny for the multiplayer being pretty garbage. I loved the old halo games and played them a lot, but I'd be lying outa my ass and wearing huge nostalgia glasses if I were to say bungie halo was more balanced than halo 5.

So you are telling me that you want the same guys who are making Destiny and all the crazy stupid expensive micro transactions to go and make Halo again? Bungie purposefully left Ice Breaker and Gjallarhorn out of year two so that you would buy the year 3 dlc. They also make you pay $5 if you want to have a new emote... They were charging you money for a CHANCE at a random sparrow horn...a freaking sound file.... Crucible is never balanced, it has never been about what gun you like, always about the stats. The only time you can use a gun you like is IF the stats/perks are good.

4 RepliesEveryone at bungie that wanted to keep working on halo stayed at 343. Why would bungie want to go back and work on a project no one would be enthusiastic about? Also 343 is doing an amazing job (the story is lackluster but it's not terrible). Forge is better than ever, the multiplayer is amazing, and Warzone is cool.

4 RepliesI thought Halo 4 was great and don't understand how people hated any of it. It was new and fun and not afraid to be a new chapter. Halo 5 was a nice DLC with amazing multiplayer. The movement in Halo 5 was exactly how a Spartan II should move, the enemies were interesting, and set piece moments were great. Halo 5 just felt forced, contrived, short, and lacking in the grandeur and plot present in the other Halo games. Frankly, if Bungie were to do anything new with the Halo franchise it wouldn't be the same. Bungie is a different company than before with different goals (Activision, cough). I feel like they have fallen behind in their previous goal of world domination. I could understand what was going on in Halo 5, but it jumped around so much in what it tried to convey to the players that it didn't make any of the points it was going for. Cortana is now "evil" because reasons (or is she?), Chief is now a traitor (or is he?), guardians bad (or are they?), a war between creators and machines (or is there really?), the mantle has been taken (or has it?), Agent Locke has a purpose besides being an annoying foil for the Chief (or does he?), etc... Stay tuned for the next episode where questions like who the real father of Cortana's baby could be? Will we ever find out if Sarah Palmer accepts Xar Koramee's advances for true love? Will the galaxy be destroyed by the tireless implementation of micro transactions enforced by the guardians? Will the Chief ever say "MIA"?
