I've been chasing "chasing infinity" for infinity
With the "chasing infinity" ship making a comeback from the Queen's Wrath event that happened in September of Y1 of Destiny, I have been plugging away at the three Petra bounties on all three of my characters since the release of Rise of Iron. As of November 1st, I have opened about 8-10 rank up packages since RoI. I still have not received the ship I've been wanting since the Queen's Wrath event that gave me all loot except this ship, and now I still can't seem to get it. It is really discouraging because you can only get 1000 rep a week from Petra's bounties, and a full rank up requires 3000 rep. So unless you have a high reserve of etheric light or do lvl 34/35 PoE it will take 3 weeks for one rank up with Petra. My main concern is the seemingly extremely low drop rate for Chasing Infinity. I know it was dropping immediately after RoI released as one of my clan mates received it on his first post-RoI rank up package. But just as the New Monarchy ship, Comitatus, is not dropping as a reward, I wonder if Chasing Infinity is not dropping as well because either I've had extremely poor RNG luck or the ship is not dropping.
TL;DR Any insight on this ship would be appreciated. This is one of the Destiny items I've always wanted but felt sad I was never able to get it because of an event that bungie never brought back (don't see it as my fault that it wouldn't drop during the Queen's Wrath event, put in the work but it never dropped.) Now that the ship is back, it doesn't seem to be dropping. Please help with some answers or insight?
Edit: from the rank up packages I've also received a couple bonds that literally have no stat increase such as intellect, discipline, or strength. It just has an up to 390 light stat and nothing else. Even unlocking the nodes that should increase int/dis/str do not add any of those on. Have pictures to prove the useless bonds if needed

I feel your pain. During y1 i did Queens bounties all day every day trying for ship. Since she was made a faction to rank up, my 3 characters are rank 13, 9, and 8. So in 30 ranks/packages, I still haven't received the ship either.

Been doing the same thing on all three of my characters since the release of Rise of Iron. No luck whatsoever. Bungie needs to increase the chance drop rate to like 10% or something. I have a thing for starships, I have the Ceres Galliot and Hildian Seeker, but not Chasing Infinity. I'm gonna keep trying to get the ship so I don't have to keep doing these stupid bounties.

Bump this cos Bungo clearly doesn't care about fixing things in the game that aren't "end game" material. I've gotten just about every single queens rank up I could since RoI came out and still no ship. I get plenty of class items but when there's a class item for guaranteed AND possible rewards, getting class items is getting old. Especially when a few times it has given me two at once...but yet again I got a stinking cloak for my hunter.

Bungie is too stingy with stuff like ships, sparrows and shaders etc..... We should get our usual random weapon or armor THEN also be able to choose one vanity non light item with each package, heck do that every FIVE ranks FFS
