I can understand why skill based matchmaking exists, to segregate the 1%... however if your the 1% you earned getting that good.
Bad players think they are average. Good players usually have no idea they are good. I recently found out I am ranked in the top 5-7% and it blew my damn mind.
However every argument you have in favour of SBMM goes out the window when matches look like this...

That's not SBMM. That's P2P networking, and the game having selected a console as host where the machine or their internet can't handle the workload. CBMM won't fix that. All it takes is someone having cheap internet....and someone in their house deciding to stream Netflix while they're host. ...and your right back in the same boat.

Thing is I play doom, call of duty and rainbow 6. All CBMM games. The only game I ever experience lag in is destiny. Which doesn't prioritise connection.

The same argument can be made for any SBMM game, all which work better than Destiny, fact is, Destiny just doesn't handle its own system properly. You can beg them to change the settings back and forth, but you'll just hobble from one bad experience to another. The best you can hope for is that they do a better job in Destiny 2.
