my question is why does bungie start the beta on a monday when they want to the most ppl to play it go get test results. They should have betas come out on like weekends because more people would be able to play the betas.

Thanks Sketch, Bungie. You guys are always amazing and a surprise since I almost never see updates from you on the weekend. I can only assume you took time on your day off to bother answering our questions, even though I knew the answer to most of them. Your care for us has always been greatly appreciated.

I instantly realised it was because I am a Child Account. Being in New Zealand that means I can't download [b]anything[/b] from the Marketplace (not even [i]Viva Pinata[/i] content, not that I've tried), even when my Family Settings are set to allow everything. By the time I had signed in to an Adult Account the code (and every other code) had been snagged by somebody else. Oh, and I'm not directing this at Sketch, I'm merely telling a sad story. hey if u didnt get the halo 2 code does that mean u cant play the halo reach beta at all? because i've been witing for the beta but i dont have halo 2 so am i screwed or can i still play the beta if i have halo 3 ODST?

The having to wait a few days to receive your code from microsoft made me lol. Since the majority of us are huge halo fans anyways wouldn't we have bought odst and just play on monday when the beta opens up? Why didn't they give those codes at an earlier date? [Edited on 05.01.2010 11:02 PM PDT]

:( midnight PDT = 5pm Aussie time. add "late morning" 8-11hours means 4th of may for Aussie gamers that sucks!! make it EST time so every1 can start playing in few hours :p

Maybe I'm just convincing myself this because I couldn't have played this weekend anyway, but people don't seem to realize the difference is TWO DAYS. The beta itself will be at least two weeks. If you're one of the people like me who didn't get a code, go do something else. Work. Study. Contemplate human existence. Serve the community. See the silver lining here. You get two more days before the beta consumes your existence with its sheer awesomeness. Also, I have a question... does anything carry over from beta to retail game? Commodations, ranking, armor, stats, kill/death? Anything?

Will this code begin working on Monday or is there another one being sent in the mail? I only worry because I've been having issues in linking an email with my account, and I no longer have access to the email that it originally sent news to.

Honestly can't wait. Stopped playing halo back in June 08 and since having finished ODST as soon as I got it Ive been waiting for something to bring me back into the Halo world. Nice work guys.
