Hello!!! This guide is aimed to those guardians that have not logged in destiny at launch day of Rise of Iron (RoI) and wish to raise his/her light level fast. 1.- Log in with your highest light character (optimal should be 335). 2.- Go to the tower. 3.- Press start (screw the "options" name) button and go to progress, open the RoI book. 4.- If you have legendary marks (ideally 200 marks), go to the Crucible Master (Lord Shakks if i spelt it correctly) or your vanguard master (Cayde for hunters, Ikora for warlocks, Zavala for titans) and buy items and equip them in this order: a) Ghost shell (cost 75 marks, and they rarely drop in missions) b) chest (cost 75 marks, gives the most stat increase for the price) c) legs (cost 75 marks, gives nice bonuses in ammo carry) d) arms (cost 75 marks, gives nice various bonuses) e) class item (cost 75 marks, but their engrams drop very often) e) head (cost 125 marks, gives nice stats and bonuses, but they are expensive) If you cant afford any item, do not worry, at most you will buy 3 items. 5.- Get more legendary marks: a) If you have completed bounties that gives legendary marks, redeem them. b)If you have obsolete gear (you kept it or it just became obsolete with your purchase) dismantle them. 6.- repeat steps 4 through 6 until impossible to get more gear. 7.- If you have faction upgrades (crucible, vanguard, DO, NM, FWC, Cryptarch, Crotas Bane, House Judgement, Queens Wrath) collect their [b]weapon[/b] rewards, they actually drop[b] new rewards with the new light level[/b]. And equip it. 7bis.- If they are just shy of getting the next rank, o it via motes of light, heavy ammo synthesis, etc. 8.- Repeat steps 4 through 8 until impossible to get any more gear. 9.- If you have engrams follow the next steps: a) redeem in the following order: blue, purple, yellow. b) for each engram you de-encript, you must chech its light level, if it is higher than what it is equipped currently, equip it in that instant and then continue with the de-encription. c) aim to de-encript first the engrams which are gear that are the lowest light level, more often than not they are class items. If everything went well, you should be around 350 light. Other tips You should have in between missions at least 3 slots for each weapon or armor type empty, that way you can collect engrams and compare then on the go. Remember to lock any gear that you dont want to lose. Complete the story missions to unlock the exotic missions (which gives you high light weapons) Complete public events, they are droping lots of rewards, specially in the Archon Forge. If you rank up in vanguard or cryptarch, you must go to the tower to collect rewards. Before you begin your first mission, load up on vanguard bounties, when you unlock felwinters peak, go to Shiro to collect even more.
