Sunsinger - Angel of Light Project

I'm trying the last perk I have to conquer...........Angel of Light. I am having a lot of trouble being consistent with play and weapons. I can tell from recent posts that not too many will likely have experience but I would like advice from those that do. What weapons seem harder to use? Does the Icuras perk make that much of a difference? Also are you using it as a scouting tool or just attack? Any build advice is good also. I currently bulk up and use weapon/gear perks to gain agility. I find I am a sitting target at times and need the armor. Thanks in advance and enjoy this short clip with a cheap and fun gun/perk pairing =)

  • I did some testing on angel of light today and found that airborne inaccuracy IS removed when stationary. The second you start to fall your shots get all wacky. With a charged tlaloc you can get 7 shots off max. Sidearms, hand cannons and I think auto rifles don't suffer nearly as much from airborne inaccuracy so they would be more reliable finishing off your target when you start to fall. Those guns don't fit my play style and I don't like being in the air that close to my target unless it's nesisary but it's worth mentioning incase you wanted to test them with the perk. I do like throwing off shotgun rushers with angel of light and a sidearm : )

    • Totally missed this post. I use it to scout a lot and I use a scout rifle. More range on my scout seems to help with airborne inaccuracy, the icuras perk helps some too but your still gonna miss allot of shots. That being said don't get into gunfights with it, you will die! I use it to finish off people who think they are safe or pester teams from a different angle and distract them from my team. Range is your friend because it will be harder for people to notice you doing it. Be creative, use walls and keep finding new angles. I also like using a sidearm with it because it REALLY throws people off but it's very risky. Fun as hell when it works. I would be madly in love with this perk if not for airborne inaccuracy... it makes it feel so gimmicky when you miss three shots in a row and die but whatever. Check out my build, if I don't have angel of light equipped it's because I'm playing pve. The only two things I change for pve is angel of light and radiant skin.

Additionally I suggest using it in smaller hallways. Throwing people off in closed spaces has interesting results.

Icarus on an AR and FR is godly. I've been having a lot of fun using Angel of Light with a Fusion. You can be moving at someone. Leap into the air and soar forward. Suddenly halting and getting an immediate hight advantage can be used strongly but it needs to be taken advantage of quickly.

            • I would rather enjoy using that with a mid-Impact Auto and a low-Impact Sniper loadout

                • Its really good for going around corners as people will expect your head to be lower to the ground. I wouldn't reccomend it but I actually got a sniper headshot while using the perk.

I have used it since I unlocked it (so forever) if you actually get used to it, it will completely change the way that you play. I use it for both scouting, staying out of enemy hordes (dregs and thrall), and attacking. I generally use scout rifles with it, as you don't have sufficient time to aim and fire with snipers, shotguns work as well. It is very useful for boss fights and the like. I haven't noticed Icarus helping much, but I don't use Icarus much either. Btw I run a max armor/high recovery build, and it works fine. For PVP, it is great at avoiding rockets when going around corners, and I generally use a machine gun with it.

                  • Hey enjoyed the preview, Angel of Light/Empyrean Belicose is what I enjoy using when I'm looking just to have some fun in the cruicble. Imo it best goes with A full auto primary Sniper/Fusion Rifle Machine Gun(Really helps deal with Rocket Laucnhers) Always using it to get an angles no body expects is what truly allows this perk/helmet to shine. Good examples would be In asylum where bottom mid special is located you can float over the truck and get two quick picks with a sniper rifle In Firebase Delphi on A spawn you can hit the targets in horseshoe by using the window. In widows court you float over the wall by bottom heavy and put some shots on people who are camping A spawn.
