I really hate the Microsoft is closing original xbox support, it doesn't really cost them anything to maintain it. Sometimes I want to go back and play games that don't anger me as much, or play great classics.

WolfDemon305[/quote][/quote] Mine were for a long time too, but I got them to work by doing this: 1: try installing the maps from xbox live and fail. 2: delete ALL halo 2 saved content from my harddrive 3: Install the LIVE only map packs from xbox live through the halo 2 download menu, this time with success 4: Install the other map packs from the halo 2 map pack disk, once again with success For me this worked fine, I think the XBL downloads must corrupt the disc content if you install it first or something.

This seems to be happening to a lot of people Bungie, pleas fix or make it so all the playlists in halo 2 do not require dlc. You'll need to link up your xbox live Gamertag to your Bungie.Net account to get the bonus, but it's not difficult, just go to your profile page and connect it up.

I checked this thread, but couldn't find anyone else asking - In order to receive the "piece of visual flair" reward for playing Halo 2, do we need to play on an Xbox 360? I normally play Halo 2 on my original Xbox. Will this create any sort of problem with receiving the reward? Or is my gamertag simply taken note of, and the piece of flair unlocked for me in the same way that Recon armor could be unlocked for players in Halo 3?

Small question, I live in the UK, is playing on the 14th during my timezone still gonna count? I can't be bothered to check how the GMT+/- works, and I'd hate to be playing on the 14th here, for it to turn out to be the 13th/15th there, and thus I not be able to get online/get the little doodad for supporting Halo 2.

In the screenshots/coverage provided so far I haven't actually seen an Elite using armour lock (or jetpack, for that matter) so perhaps either those (or another armour ability, not all of them have been revealed yet after all) are spartan exclusive. Having said that, wouldn't we be expecting for the spartans to spawn with the 5-shotting UNSC DMR instead of a 7-shotting covenant needle rifle? so really the DMR would make up for the elite's superior shielding (provided they both grab a kill within the same amount of time, that is. or at least close like the BR/Carbine of halo 3 notoriety).

I'm sorry to have to ask this after such an amazing update, but I live all the way across the pond in England. Could you possibly tell me what time the Halo 2 Humpday would start/finish for me? only I couldn't find that anywhere in the update.

I hope they are going to balance it out. But then, the covenant doesn't have a grenade launcher proper, or a shotgun.

I hope they made the plasma rifle like it was in halo 1... it was great how once you got a few shots on somebody you could close in on them cuz they were slowed down
