What does it mean to be extremely rightwing?
I saw a bumper sticker that said "Extremely Rightwing" on my way home today. The guy also had one that read "God Bless Our Troops, Especially The Snipers". What kind of person is this?

1 ReplyIt generally means someone who is heavily authoritarian and neoliberal. In America that can be defined with a heavy Laissez Faire economic standpoint but heavily regulated social life guided by a government who supports the morals provided by a more stringent interpretation of their religion. Usually Judeo-Christian. As such they support heavy regulation or complete outlawing of things their religion may deem immoral such as abortion, homosexual marriage, and pre-marital intercourse. While this describes Right Wing in general, extreme right wing would simply be this to an extreme extent. For example all homosexuality is outlawed and people who get abortions are tried for murder.

Typically? An extreme "Right Winger" is an authoritarian, nationalist, religious, zealot... However, most people just use it refer to anyone that is more conservative leaning.
