Day one player here, spent thousands of hours in game, and absolutely love the game... for the most part. Trying to get max crucible grimoire, though, has been hands down the absolute worst gaming experience I have ever had. This is my first FPS and I fell so in love with the mechanics that I committed myself to getting better at crucible. I think I was around a .3 KD for the most of year 1 and have brought myself up above 1.0 on all characters but still doubles and rumble are a complete and total nightmare to get wins for. I'm not sure how the matchmaking works but 9 out of every 10 matches I'm pit against players much better than me and my teammate is usually worse than me. I only make this point because I really do love competing in crucible except when I'm required to win matches because for someone usually playing solo it makes a very enjoyable game extremely frustrating and an overall bummer. You might say, "Then don't play those game modes" but they are required for grimoire and I guarantee I've attempted more than enough matches and made enough kills to deserve the cards. Unless matchmaking or lag issues are fixed you should not make winning matches a requirement for game completion. Just my two cents anyway.

Edited by Freetos: 8/13/2016 9:01:34 PMVex mythoclast is the answer to your suffering. me and two buddies went into rumble to see who was better. Me and one other used the vex and had time to spare at the end of our match to charge our supers and have a Hammer of Sol vs Stormtrance battle. We each needed one kill left to win so we met up and had a little death match... We killed each other... I hardly ever see people using this weapon, but it still melts people.

Got mine easy as hell and my KD sits at 0.9. Took lord high fixer in and a shottie. Won a lot quicker that I thought I would. Good luck guardian

Disagree. Some of us have spent too much time already chasing that Grimoire, would be quite insulting for the requirements to be diluted this late in the game.
-
There's no Lore to those cards, getting the points is pointless, literally!
-
Thank god I did it in year 1 where there was no SBMM
-
Rumble winners are always the last word and theory-d carriers. Its tough
-
Meh you're probably right.
-
You can always try to improve the probability that you win a rumble match by doing classic free for all with a fireteam but it's hard to find people with a similar interest who would be willing to do that. If you want to add me I would be willing help you get wins.

rumble is just tough.. its top of the board or nothing. there is no prize for second place. The thing I don't like about it is that I love playing with friends.. I recently realized you can go into free for all with 2 other friends so this will make grinding those rumble wins a bit more fun. Destiny isa social game so having a game mode for the individual to play is just taxing because I love gaming with the guys I have found and play with in our clan.

Doubles shouldn't be too bad. Just join up with a friend. But rumbleeee. Ughhh hirreibleeeeeee
-
Totally agree - getting 100 wins on both is totally nuts! Even 50 is a LOT
-
Agree extremely. I'll likely never get rumble.
-
Rumble you just need to play you will eventually get the wins... For doubles you need to play with a partner. Playing solo in doubles rarely ends well. Cheers! Pacificdune 5010 grimoire, 78 doubles wins, 54 rumble wins.

Edited by rick23452: 8/9/2016 12:14:13 AMKills in the crucible do count toward grimoire. Wins do as well. Look on the bright side. You have more grimoire than me. :P
