Calling All Potential Sisters!

We are the Sisterhood of Guardians, a clan that has been here since Year One with 1,500 members and growing. We are looking for ladies who want to play in a helpful and friendly environment and most of all (whether highly competitive or the most casual of players) are looking to have fun. Even though Bungie is unable to offer opportunities beyond PS4 and Xbox One, we offer options for every console including legacy. You might notice that our main clan is full. We offer auxiliary clans for ladies who would be proud to carry our clan tag. You may continue to be in other clans if you wish. You do not have to have our clan tag to be considered a Sister. We have created a social sphere in Band which is a chat/calendar app and website. It has chatrooms not only for each console to LFG but to talk about other subjects such as gaming, hobbies and of course Destiny hype. We publish news items and plan events such as: daily/weekly activities, questline help, end game content, and special adventures. In the past this has included scavenger hunts, console wars and community weekends where we strive to meet and engage clan members. As long as you identify as female, respect your clanmates and have fun please feel free to click below and join today! Upon acceptance to the group you will be sent orientation info and invited to our Band which will allow you to fully unlock all the experiences that our clan can offer you. • Don't take my word for it but listen to what our members have to say: From CrazyChicknLady: “Before I joined the Sisterhood, I became friends with randoms in strikes, pvp, etc. This led to stalking (yes seriously!), getting booted for being a girl, being hit on, or "taken care of" so I didn't die (or get kills). The first ever Crota run with randoms, I was tucked away in a hidey hole so basically I wouldn't die and they had to restart. Fast forward to becoming a Sister. I've met a ton of wonderful people, always someone on my friend's list for fireteams! Not only did the veterans teach me how to do all of the raids correctly, they also taught the cheese methods so I wasn't clueless while running with someone else. I found myself taking on Sherpa responsibilities. I found a confidence in myself, that yes I AM a female gamer, and no longer try to hide that from people in the "real" or gaming world. I no longer need to turn to randoms for help and feel like I need to endure all the "baby girl" nonsense. I truly can't say enough positive about this group.” From SammiX1X: “I found the sisters in a random search of groups, I am basically deaf and apart from the few players who are also deaf who have their own groups for deaf players, I found it very difficult to find friends and fellow guardians who would accept me as I am and not care that I can't use I mic, the sisters welcomed me with open arms… “ From Karebear23: “Before I found the sisterhood, I didn't have very many people to play with, I didn't have very many friends either as I am very shy. Everyone is so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Everyone is always willing to help with raids, missions, getting fragments and what not. I love my sstr's, I love how we're just not a group, We are a community, a family, most of all we are Sstr's.” From WolfsMidnight: “When I joined the Sisterhood I was in another clan at the same time. I was continuously recreating my warlock and the clan I was in refused to go through normal Kings Fall anymore thus I joined in with the sisterhood ( which I found through the forms ) in both normal and hard mode. I was able to learn tips and tricks for getting through it easier. I've been getting more and more active in joining events with the sisters that have been organized and even speaking more ( sort of ) over the mic. I was never a social person to begin with but I'm slowly getting there. The sisters are very welcoming from the get go and always active, not to mention patient. I don't think since I've joined this clan that I've not seen an event up for people to join. I'm glad I joined as there is always a sister willing to jump in on something to help whether it be story missions, exotic quests, PVP, training raids, gaining achievements, etc.”

After each big Community Weekend event we ask our members for feedback. This is what ladies enjoyed most:
That everyone was eager to play together and just have fun. No competitiveness, no cherry picking based on skillset or light level. It really showcased what I've come to know about our clan - just a great group of women who want to have fun playing Destiny together.

Well run and great fun

The constant streaming was nice, a good way to see what was going on when I wasn't online. Also having a lot of events hosted by different people across different platforms, a big variety of ways to interact with new people in the clan.

Met new players, well organized, and I enjoyed the streams. Had a blast!

People joining together in bigger groups to help each other out. Everyone was kind and helpful to others.

It's fun helping people get together and accomplish their goals.

Everyone was willing to help. Also we learned everything and each newbie tried.

It was great meeting more of the people I randomly chat in chat. Plus it was a great confidence builder!

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Newbies didn't feel left out which is awesome.

Learning the raids was cool, it was my first one and it helped alot

It was a great group both times I participated. They were all really patient and encouraging, especially since it was my first and second time raiding. It was awesome experience that they let me try holding the relic so I could learn how the mechanics.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful! Overall enjoyed the experience and would love to participate in more events!

I like that we have bonding moments such as this!!

The chance to expand my friends list

Really appreciated the 5 ladies that speed ran a bunch of us through oryx. That was spectacular.

Always fun and successful doing stuff with the group.

Met new SSTRs, learnt new tricks, got a load of exotic weapons missions completed... ...Some of the SSTRs I met, I will definitely be playing with again.

I can't wait to see what ya all do next!

I love the ladies of the Sisterhood!
FAQ
Q. Do I have to leave my current clan? A. No! We do not require that you leave your clan or that you use our clan tag.

Q. What system are you on? A. All four: PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One

Q. What timezone are you in? A. We have players on day/night schedules all over the world. According to a recent poll, our players are from: America, Australia, England, Canada, Norway, Finland, Scotland, Portugal, The Netherlands, Ireland, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines.

Q. Is there an age limit? A. As long as you can follow the rules, there is no age limit. According to a recent poll, our players range from: 14% - teens 49% - 20's 20% - 30's 14% - 40's 2% - 50's 1% - 60+

Q. Do I have to be a certain level? A. We are constantly finding new players or starting new characters. And some ladies just like to replay the story! You will find players for activities from the beginning to the end game content.

Q. Is there a participation requirement? A. Nope. Play with us whenever you want. Members who have not logged in after five months may have their clan tags removed, however.

Q. What kind of activities do you do? A. All the things. And we really mean it... All. the. things. Story. Farming patrols, bounties, rep. Raids and raid training. Iron Banner. Crucible. Trials. Nightfalls. SRL. Crimson doubles. Strikes. Hide and Seek. Hanging out in the tower and obsessing over vaults. Wandering around to take HUDless screenshots. Grimoire Grind. Moments of Triumph. Scavenger Hunts. Speed Runs.

Q. I heard you have rules about language... A. It's true. We keep our lfg and main chat pg along with our main stream. However what you do in your private chat groups or party chats is up to you. Players are expected to be respectful towards each other, which may mean scaling down profanity in the presence of others.

Q. I heard you don't play with guys. A. That would be unfortunate for our husbands, partners, sons, and friends! We do play with menfolk. Our purpose is to introduce ladies and give them a place to interact and socialize. We do not require them to be exclusive. Our Community Weekends (roughly quarterly) encourage ladies to mingle and reach out to each other for a few days and we ask that no outside players are brought into events during that time.

Q. Is this a feminist group? A. It is a group of women. Some will call themselves feminists. Some will not.

Q. Is this a group of lesbians? A. We do not focus on sexual orientation. Some are. Some are not.

Q. You used the LGBTQ tag, what about gay players? A. G can stand for Gay (which yes some women prefer to be called) or it can stand for Genderqueer... which is also something ladies might prefer to be called. Either way, it's there to remind players that we are not just straight or lesbians. We exist to serve all ladies, regardless of sexual orientation.

Q. What do you count as a 'girl'? What about trans players? A. We do not care if you are cis or trans, only that you are consistently identifying as female. By virtue of our mission to support female players, we do not recommend our group for persons who are in a transitional stage (not 'out') or identify as genderfluid.

Q. I share an account, can I still join? A. Well, it depends on what you mean by share an account. We do not admit Bungie accounts that are shared with a male, simply because that is tantamount to admitting a male into the group. Some couples share an XBL or PSN profile, but only the female plays Destiny which would be allowable. We also allow the occasional exception of supervised children playing on their parents account.

Q. Who runs this group? A. Me! lVlaleficent! Also I have 8 wonderful admins across all four consoles and a variety of timezones. They work very hard to help new members, set up events, and keep an eye on things when I'm on a coffee break.
Bump! Joining this clan was the key to truly enjoying my Destiny experience - there is always someone willing to join for anything (Trials, PoE/CoE, raids, story missions, quests, Crucible, etc) but I feel like I've made new friends to last a lifetime. All experience levels are welcome and training opportunities are always available for those still new to Destiny or inexperienced with different parts of the game.

          • I have played video games for years but Destiny was the first multiplayer game for me. In the beginning I didn't even know about clans so I would just play alone. Eventually I got up the courage to try matchmaking strikes and eventually to try raids with randoms. My first raid was so stressful I had a migraine by the time it ended and we didn't even finish. It was a long time before I ventured into a raid again. The next time I did it happened to be a group of all guys and we were doing VOG. I was invited by a random guy I met through a matchmaking strike. I'm pretty shy so I didn't say anything when we first started. I just went where I was assigned (the left sync plate) and killed stuff. The guy I was paired with (not the guy I knew) commented that I was kicking butt. We got the door open and started to go through. Since I had never done the raid before I thought I should let them know. Well, they freaked. Not because they were with a newbie but because I was a girl. It didn't matter that I had been able to hold my own. The comments got so bad I dropped out. I then learned about clans and joined a clan of both guys and girls. They ended up not being very active but one of the guys there referred me to Girls of Destiny. From there I found the Sisterhood (shout out to Shameless Butch for starting the group). Since joining the Sisterhood I never had a bad experience gaming with anyone here. The admins here are superstars and all of the women here are awesome. Thank you all for making this clan a family. If you are looking for a group that is welcoming, diverse, encouraging, fun, accepting and patient, look no further. Hit the Apply button now!

                        • I joined this clan thinking I might find two or three people to play with as I only had two family members I played with regularly and was tired of playing solo a lot. I now have over 40 people that I play with from the clan in less than 6 months on my friends list. The admin team is great and training raids and other objective runs are well planned and explained. I have played more with the clan than I ever thought I would, he chats are some of the best parts as well. It has allowed me to come out of my comfort zone and spend time with others. There is no judgement, only helpful friendliness.

                          • If you're a female gamer looking for a group to join I highly recommend joining the Sisterhood! Everyone here is friendly, welcoming and happy to help, whether it be teaching people how to do the raids, helping with quests, or just joining those who are looking for someone to play with. The admins do a fantastic job of keeping the clan up and running, including organising clan events, such as the community weekends and training raids, and keeping everyone informed on what's happening in the Destiny world. There's no pressure to be active in the group or even in the chats so it's a great group for those who are shy or have busy personal lives, as well as those who enjoy spending hours on Destiny. I've met many wonderful ladies in this group and had plenty of awesome, fun times with them. I'm so glad I joined this group 😊

I've been playing Destiny since December and did nothing but the storyline and bounties. I knew there was so much more to this great game but never had the nerve to do it. Then I found the Sisterhood! In the last month and a half since i joined, I've done it all! I even have some Iron Banner gear! One great thing abut the Sisterhood, they treat everyone the same. You can be an experienced player or a new player, you're a Sister! This group opened a lot of Destiny doors for me and they will for you too!! Did I mention all the laughter going on? There's plenty of that too!

I am more comfortable on the mic and even my daughter gets to join in the fun. You won't find a more welcoming and supportive group of female players! I doubt I would still be playing Destiny if I hadn't found this group!
